I washed the Monte for the first time today since I got her. The pics came out like crap I think I had to exposure set too long. Need to bring my tripod next time.

Here is a video of the exhaust. It is all stock... for now.

for FWD, these monte's are not bad at all. With the active fuel management it has some kick and go, like down shifting when you wanna pass someone. I was dead set against the ss when it hit the lot but it won my respect when i took both the impala ss and monte ss out and it throw me back in the seat . nothing like previous fwd generations. this car has that big v8 heart like the old schools. Sharp car. I miss the cat-eye headlights though! Wink

No shots of the interior or seats?

I tried to take a pic of the interior it was too dark at that point. I'll snap a few tomorrow.

Chris, I agree, this car performs well for what it is. They REALLY should have made it RWD.

FAIL!

Definitely need to clean up under here! I removed the engine cover for the pic, btw.

Obama is coming out with some stupid law saying that all old police cruisers have to have their engines seized and the cars crushed.

he can't force that law, he doesn't dictate to local law enforcement depts for what the do with their equipment, most departments use those old cars as revinue.

He might do a "cop cash for clunkers" but i doubt it.

WHAT!!! Crush my 9C1s.
I am going to have to stock up on more cases of good 12Ga for the Mossberg 590 marine,
and then a few more thousand rounds of 7.62 x 39mm for the Saiga.
I promised I wouldn't talk politics here, but they will NOT take my seven boxy 9C1s with me standing idle.

Don't tread on me.

I like the look of the earlier monte's better. This one's nose looks too much like every other Chevy out there. I never knew they made one of these with a V8, thats just awesome! Is there a lot of torque steer with that much power?

I drove the SS FWD impala while the torque steer isn't nearly as bad as some Turbo FWD cars it's still pretty apprearent. I wish they would have made them RWD only for that reason.

Thats just 1 nice car.
If you cant control torque steer, stay out of the front wheel vehicles
I AM a little surprised that removing the engine cover wasnt covered in Tim's inspection prior to purchase Razz
BTW Remember, I'm being nice so dont make my car look slow when we meet
