| I'm from NH, $10 and a background check is all you need! You bet your ass I have one, and you can bet your ass I carry 90% of the time.

Doug I knew I liked this guy. Personally, the wait is worth it, I think starting out with a .45 is a good choice.

Doug I am with this Doug, except, I hardly ever carry. I think my gun has left my house twice in 13 or so years with the exception of target practice. |

That is beautiful Since being in the military and surrounded by gun magazines, Ive always liked Kimber. Pricy, and I believe they are banned in MA. But the custom II 1911 is real nice

I have been considering getting my Mass conceal for some time, it's just such a pain, especially for out of staters. I do a few food concession and snowmobile shows that I end up with a wad of cash at the end of the day, and I feel a whole lot better carrying that kind of paper if I am carrying a bit of iron with it. As an FYI to both of you, you don't want to carry a fullsize gun, I do once in a great while (mostly while hunting) and it is a nightmare and impossible to conceal. Carry the smallest gun you feel confident shooting, and practice a lot with it. I carry a Rugar LCP in .380. I can throw it in my jeans pocket and no one is the wiser. It's only .380, but you bet your ass that will stop someone if needed. Hell, even a .22 pistol is debilitating and deadly at close range, which is when (hopefully you never have to) a carry gun is most likely to be used in defense. Also, I'm not so crazy gun guy or anything, I carry daily mostly because I have a cash register at work. However, I also believe it should be a right for any law abiding citizen, not something you have to "apply for" because guess how many criminals apply to carry their guns?... - MASShole9C1 wrote:

I too love those babies, I wanted one bad, I ended up going with a Taurus PT1911 after lots of research and shooting a couple, it was 7/8 the gun for 1/3 the price of the Kimber. Be safe. Doug

| Thanks for the heads up. Smaller is a good idea for daily carry. I was going with the .45 for mostly range use and VFW events where a side arm is authorized If this city I live in ever gets their shit together, and they start hiring cops again, I will always carry a smaller back up while on duty. | |

Your going to write tickets to dumb ass truck drivers who do not understand you can not drive a tractor trailers under the rail road bridge down town, and like it. |

| Questions are all the same for an FID or a conceal. I chose conceal. Only thing they taught me I didnt know was you cant carry a handgun & a shotgun together. I duck hunt but have to walk thru coyote ground before hitting the marsh, always thought a handgun would be more helpful there. | |

They always knock over the new lamp posts the mayor had put in. Maybe he should have put in NO TRUCKS UNDER BRIDGE signs. More cost effective maybe. See you next city hall meeting

At least you did not get arrested for underage drinking in Attelboro at age 17 like I did. |

| I've taken the class twice, but you have to go to the state police for the license, and I haven't had time.
Being a fireman, I know all the police around. And most of them said the same thing. Carrying is ok, but make sure if you pull that gun your ready to kill. And be prepared to go to court for the lawsuit.

| I really have to get off my ass on this business. One of my friends just moved to Hyde Pahhhk and is having a hard time getting his LTC I hear. After finally getting into shooting recreationally last year, I'm determined to get at least my LTC, even if I have to move. I just keep procrastinating. Four of my friends got theirs, though. | |

| In NH you can carry just about anywhere, as long as it's not concealed, and if you want to carry concealed you have to fill out a form, pass backround check & pay 10 bucks(yet another reason I live here)

Looks a lot like my .40 Star. Believe it or not .380 is one of the harder rounds to find ammo for around here.
