| I started working on the rust this past weekend. There is alot of it to get rid of. I started on the hood, as I figured I would make the most progress. But after four hours, I had to call it quits and prime up till I can do more. I did finish the top of the fender and the hood to the body line. No real before shots, sorry. But you can see in the first pic the rust I had to contend with. And the second one shows how much metal I had to remove to get to fresh metal. Some after shots of finished areas. |

| Looking good, you might as well take the head lights and corners off, keep the from getting damaged. | |

They will be coming off this weekend for prime. And they will come off for paint. |

| ^^^^^^^^ What is this color? Is that the phantom Medium Marblehead Metalic? It is sexy and I think I just found the color for my wagon, that will look good with blue guts too. | |

| If not for the fact that this is a 94 ss, I would have considered another color. But because of the year and the one color choice for that year, and the fact I would have to do all the jams, I will stay with black. If I can find someone to mask off some flames, I might do some ghost flames in a dark grey. |

| Did up the pasenger side rear quarter yesterday, and if not for crappy rechargeable batteries, I would have taken before and after shots. The good news is very little rot on that side. Giggity Giggity, AALLRRIIGGHHTT! But I am dead in the water until I find a drivers side LRQ. |

| Got new rechargable batteries yesterday so I took a couple pics to keep this thread updated. There was alot of rust on this quarter, but not much went through. I will weld in a small patch this coming weekend. I know Bill. I am suposed to practice on yours first. If you can wait till mod day, I will do them then, or sooner if you need them. I even sanded the peeling clear coat off the rear wingy. I will have to remove it to do it right. |

| Lookin good, Billy!!!! No rush on my truck. It's just a beater. If you want to do it on the mod day, that'd be awesome. But if you have other things to do, that's ok too! | |

| Little things excite me. Coming home to a broken cloths washer is not one of them, nor is cleaning over 3 gallons of water off the floor from said washer. But when my maxx fil 2k high build sandable primer showed up, well I got excited. This stuff fills little imperfections and sands great. Once sanded this stuff is durable and glass smooth. |

Hope I didn't jinx you with the phone call on the way home from work! No, but while I was sitting in my driveway talking to you on the phone, my wife was inside mopping and steam cleaning carpets and all kinds of wonderful things . In the end, a hose fell off inside. |

| I vote orange on the bottom black on the top for the SS. I vote Bill give us a lesson on welding body panels on mod day. Give a man a fish, teach a man to fish... Sorry, can't sleep and couldn't find any good zombie movies on TV. Bill C. Don't Click! | |

| Welding is easy once you set the welder right for the metal your working with. Just remember "roll of dimes layed out" and you'll be fine every time. | |

It's not the welding that impressed me. It was the metal work requred to make them look that good. |

| That's the hard part. Bending and cutting metal so that it looks like it was stamped by a machine takes alot of skill and practice. I can't manage to cut an even circle with a compass and a template | |
