| OK who wants to chime in with advise here? I have the stock 95 springs that kept their ride height until they were pulled. I'm thinking of leaving the stock rears but wonder if I should cut the stock fronts? Info on cutting ...1/2 coil, 1 coil Or replace springs with something else? 9C1's? Let me know I really dont want to lower this car much as I dont want Matt having to learn that yet. | |

| Did you have stock rears when you cut 1 coil of the stock fronts? If so, how was the look? I'm thinking 1-1/2-2" MAY be a little more then I want 1-1/2 isnt to bad, but 2? I had a slightly raked look due to 189K slight front sag

| I think 1 coil off the stock SS springs may even be lower than you want. I'd start with half a coil or even 3/4 for you... | |

| Well I can tell you this: 1 3/4 coils cut out of a stock 9C1 spring will drop the front end right onto the factory bumpstops That's what has been in my car since the beginning of summer. Forget trying to get a floor-jack under it without driving up onto 2 x 4's first. IT'S LOW | |

| Steve If you take a stock 9c1 spring, and cut 1 full coil, it will put you at stock SS ride hight. I took an aditional 2" of coil beyond the full one, and this is my front. |

<pic snip> Yeah Billy, but yours is a wagon... A sedan will actually be lower with the same amount of cut coils. The wagon ass acts as a cantilever and lifts the front up a bit. That's why SS springs (uncut) don't work in the wagons. Just an FYI... Don't get all butt-hurt or anything. | |
