What was your 60' from the last time you were there?? How did the car come outta the hole?? LOTS of 1/4 gain right there if your coming out soft.

Holly cripes! Shocked

What are you racing on, water? lol

Get that 60' down to a 2.0 and you should go 14.7 (from your 2.2)

What rpm are you leaving at that your blowing the tire away so bad?

If your on street tires (which im sure you are), make sure you drive around the burnout box. Wack the tires quick before you stage to get the dirt off, and walk it out off the lights.

I love the car being lowered, but it really does'nt help you when you are drag racing, i.e. no weight transfer & street tires = bad 60' times.
I think he still has the stock gears in it too, which hurt it.

Yeah, getting these things to 60 foot is tough! I've only had one sub 2 second one EVAR. In ALL my B-body's. It was in the Impala at E-town with the auto and stock engine. I got a 1.98, I think. Rest of the time it was 2 oh's to 2 fours... Wink

If you left at an idle and you had no tire spin, you were most likely bogging the motor down.

Try bringing the car out at 2200-2500 and let it eat a little.

Your car is an SS right? So you have 3.08 rear gears?

Just to put things in perspective, on a 235/70-15 street junk tire, I pulled a 2.0 60' three rows in a run w/ 2.93 rear gears (if I left a little harder, could have probably gotten it down to a 1.9)

You've got your number man, just get that launch down. I would go with you if epping wasnt so damn far away from me.

lol, nothing wrong with a practice driveway.
You have a stock trans convertor right?

I would just bring it up to about 2k to start, so the convertors loaded up, and slip it off the foot brake. If it starts to spin a little, feather the throttle and ease into it and see if she bites.
