| The passenger side rear exhaust hanger is gone and i kinked the pipe pretty bad...that was 5 months ago and a coat hanger has been holding the pipe up....so last nite my driver side cat decided to seperate from the exhaust pipe in front of the cat....the cat is ruined now...so i am getting the exhaust done from the cats back including a new driver side cat ( i replaced the passenger side cat last month)...
i have already decided to go to AXP Exhaust in Randolph, Ma...i was thinkin of getting Flowmaster 40 mufflers and i want the exhaust to exit in front of the rear tires but at an angle with chrome bowtie tips...i dont know if all this is possible because i do want to pass inspection and i dont want to get pulled over for it being too loud
any suggestions, opinions, tips, or comments are greatly appreciated
Thanks | |

| It will be loud. And I don't think MA law allows the pipes to exit before the rear wheels on a car, IIRC. But with the right station, you can find your way past that. Just make sure you find the friendly station BEFORE you spend the money to do that. | |

Personally I wouldn't want the aggravation from the boys in blue.. Oh ya.. It's goin to be LOUD !!! I did one on a Buick GN (from NH). NO way could I live with the noise.

| I'm not a fan of Crapmasters. Go ahead and use them if you want to sound like everyone else on the road. But, everyone has their own opinion.
I have my exhaust dumped right out of the mufflers and it's pretty loud. If you don't want unwanted attention I would put on some real tail pipes.

| Honestly I would angle them out behind the wheels rather than in front of, for some reason I feel like they'd be more prone to getting smushed right there, and the drone will make you puke all over your dashboard... | |

| I'd be nervous about AXP. Ask them how their old shop burnt down before they take a welder or torch to your car. | |

| It depends on what your goals are. Are you more budget minded? Looking for cheap? Are you performance minded?
If you are trying to go cheap grab some summit turbo mufflers. They are like $20 and sound good. Some performance brands to look into are:
Spintech Borla Hooker Dynomax Magnaflow
There are many others. Flowmaster isn't the only muffler company in the world. I'm just sayin.

| Money ain't an issue. I want to gain performance and have a good sounding exhaust but not so loud that the boys in blue pull me over... | |

| Everything I've seen, read, heard says flowmasters are over rated. They're more for gettin a mellow rumble in an old school big block. Just go with the summit turbos and call it a day. I have a pair sitting in storage for 2 years now waiting to put on and just haven't made time yet | |
