Perfect. Don't change a thing. Too late. That's the way it was last year. It is currently at about Impala height. Someone cut their springs this past weekend and I thought he might like to see what it was like with Sprints.

Bill, I cut 3/4 of a coil more out of your old 9C1 springs & they are a tick lower in the front than Jim's ST's. FWIW

| Oh all right, I ordered some new tires today. If I get ambitious this weekend I'll put the sprint springs back in. I have some new ideas to try to prevent the rear springs from falling out when the car is put on a on lift or jacked.
I now have the other Mass State car running. Although it would need a lot more to be road worthy.

| I really like the paint scheme on the Mass. state police cars. Too bad it is illegal to drive em around here. Mine was black/white when I bought it, had to paint it due to the '96+ law in Cali. But it does look awesome. I want my 9C1 to sit like that on the N97's! | |

Cali is supposed to enforce that any model year 1996 and above cannot display black and white paint schemes while operated on public streets. Intersting enough, last winter I layed into some death metal high school kid at the Wendy's in Mansfield. He had a black and white 2003 crown vic filled with his friends while chasing another kid around the parking lot with a night stick. it makes responsible people with retired police package cars look like A holes! Needless to say, I never saw that car again...not sure if its a hit or miss, but there are so many junky cvpi's around. A dime a dozen, and when the wanna-be-ers se my 9C1, it's all over. They can only wish.

I've been seeing a couple Crown Vics still painted in the French Blue/Electric Blue (?) driving around here lately, with MA plates, and I even saw an '03 ex marked MSP car for sale on a used car lot in Malden recently, lol

| The wording of that "decree" seems to leave at least one loop hole. It clearly exempts the Commonwealth itself from that "obliteration" requirement. Also, the intent seems to focus on specifically "State police vehicles", and not commenting upon "other municipalities". My parts car was used in movies after the previous owner sold it for more money than it would have cost him to repaint it first. Now it is becoming the foundation for my next "sleeper" project. , , , Stay tuned! | |

| OK the summer Sprint springs are back on. I kept note of the shims from last year and just put them back the same way. I only had to adjust the toe-in. I'm thinking of a new configuration for fall/spring springs. | |

You think anyone will "fall" for the idea that you might "spring" for spring springs?

| Here are the shims that I have installed with the Sprint springs: LF 120 60 LR 240 120 RF 60 RR 120 This gets me -.2° camber on each side. Exact caster is unknown but it's a lot and the same on both sides. Believe it or don't, I now have a set of Eibach springs for fall/spring use. | |

| I got a new jack and I still can't get it under the front crossmember. I've been waiting for this jack since October and using that as an excuse to not put in the fall springs. Now it's winter and I'm still on the summer springs. | |

| I gotta do the 2-stage jack on my cars, too. Low profile under a framerail until I can get it high enough to get one under the crossmember. _________________ Bill "The Verb" Crovo - Resident Car Slut & Unicorn Hunter A Toasted Marshmallow, A Long German, A Lame Suburban and expensive dreams... | As far as I remember, they only had crown vics. I remember as a kid walking around the cemetery near the city buildings on armistice. They had their old crashed cruiser parts cars. I always used to go check them out. Including some early 90's crown vics. This was probably 95, 96? sometime around there. I know North Providence had caprices. | |
