| Looks like my old '88 K5. Except mine was red and had a 350 in it. I miss that truck | |

The ones I've seen weren't being given away. These two are by comparison a deal.

| I love them too. They just look badass.
They usually go for good money. They have big bullet proof engines, front and rear axles and usually have LOW mileage.
Look at that one a 15,000 mile truck for $3000 you can't beat that!

| I bought mine for about $650 and it needed floors rockers and a few other things. I ended up scrapping it after I got the Cappy on the road because it needed a whole new body put on and I didn't have the time or money. Still ran great even though the valve seals were blown and the thing had 140k miles. | |

| Thanks Jim What key word did you use? I did not see either one of those before. Anyone want to buy a solid 15 sec wagon? |

Does the sound of loose nuts/bolts in a coffee can do that to you as well? All kidding aside, these make great wheeling rigs with low mileage, low gearing, and no frills to mess with. Doug

| I recently had the option to buy one from a local PD "silent auction" with a starting bid of 150 bucks. It was an M1008, not the Blazer but the longbed "5/4 ton" that had the Dana front axle. Kid showed me pics from his phone, and it looked pretty good. My friends went to see it and it turned out to be a turd, the floors were gone, rockers- eh, the whole BODY was trashed...turns out the police department used it since the late 80s/early 90s to put boats into a salt marsh area. LOL If the truck turned out to be nice, I might have gotten it and sold the white Caprice I have. I forget what ratio the Blazers/M1009s had, but those used 10 bolt axles. The pickups had 14 bolts (I believe the rear axle was the GM corporate FF) with 4.56 gears! However that meant you couldn't really go over 55 on the highway. | |
