Does anyone know a place in the area that does work bending tubing? I'm looking for a place that can bend up a trans crossmember for me and I'd rather get it done locally so that it can be tailored to the car. I was going to send out dimensions and such to someone to get one bent up but if it didn't fit quite right I'd be stuck having to fix it. If anyone knows a place that does this type of work and doesn't charge a ton for it then let me know.

I'm figuring $200-300 to get it done. Hopefully less if I get lucky. And it would be stupid to buy one used from someone since the closest thing to my application would be a th-400 crossmember, which is hard to come by, and even that isn't an exact fit. Plus I'd rather have a straight piece without that weird bend that the 91+ cars have.

for that kind of money you could make most of it yourself and save some money, just get a pipe bender
and some pipe and start bending till you got what you want then just bring it to anybody who can weld to finish it

That's a good idea except that I don't know what I'm doing Laughing

I'd actually do better welding up pipe that someone else bends since I've been trained in welding. Although I lack a welder at the moment. Or a garage to put it in Laughing

I have a Tig and a Mig but no pipe bender Laughing have you tried a 68-72 A-body crossmember to
see how far off they would be?
