| Yeah baby! She's home! I love this effin truck already. Is it bad that I stopped off on the way home from the dealer to snag a pair of nerf bars that I found on CL while signing the paperwork for the rig? Or that i already spent 400 bucks on eBay for parts and manuals for it? Ha! So much for LITFA!!!!! It needs a few little things. One of the headlights was broken and both the side mirrors were broken. Used 'em as bargaining chips... So I ordered some projectors offin' eBay and a set of OEM heated mirrors for cheap there too. It also pulses a little when you hit the brakes but pads and rotors are cheap at the Zone for it. And it's got a little rattle sometimes that almost sounds like a heat shield. But I'll have my ezzost guy take care of that this week... I'm just psyched to have it home!!!!! Can anyone recommend a GOOD detailer around here? I need a super-douche on the interior to get rid of the dog smell that's trapped in the carpet (and headliner, I'm sure). EDIT: Oh, and does anyone know anyone who has a good rear bumper for it? Seems they ALL do that. | |

| Congrats on the new rig Bill. What year is it? Is it a SLE or SLT? How many miles? What is wrong with the bumper?
EDIT: I see on the wagon forum it is a loaded 01 SLT. And pewter is one of my favorite colors on them.

| Very cool ride, I love that body style in the GMCs, a very timeless look. They also have the BEST cloth seats in them, I would trade those for mine in a heartbeat, much better support than the ones in the newer body style trucks.
Great color too!

| Thanks guys. That was the color I really wanted, too. The rear bumper is all rotted out and dented... Seems like they all do that though, and a new one through Chris is 200 bucks. And Doug, you're right! Those seats are comfy. And it has power adjustable SIDE BOLSTERS! Also has power lumbar, which is nice. I did not get it through an auction, but got a great deal on it. I got it at a shady dealer in Pelham. Paid $6300. Not bad at all. Can I bring it to the mod day? | |

| This is basically just what I want to get for my next truck as soon as I fall into some more money. I love how these trucks run and ride, great trucks. I also like the "bullet" side moldings on the GMCs. | |

Thanks Matt. Yeah, I'm loving this truck! It's THIRSTY though! OOfah! First tank was 13.5 MPG, second was 12.7 MPG... Ouch! At least it's only a 26 gallon tank! Glad I didn't go for the 8.1! So far, I've got the exhaust done (Magnaflow and tip), TB crank, Sony install, fixed power mirrors, fixed power/memory seats, adjusted tailgate, and I just installed my projector headlights tonight. I also have a CAI to install tomorrow. So much for leaving it the eff alone! I still need to fix my broken exhaust manifold bolts (TWO of them!) and do at least the rear pads and rotors, but probably all 4. So I'm getting close to done(ish). I think if I don't get my "LITFA" plate, that I may get "TH1RSTY" or "GUZZLE" or maybe "GUZZLAH"... )

| i love this generation of truck, i see a few silverados at work. for some reason no one keeps them clean. ever. they clean up great tho, and they ride as good as my caprice. before my dad got his f-150, he brought home a 2004 silverado to try out and told me to take it around the block. (this was before i had my CDL, when i was just plain stupid ) i wonder if the dealership asked him what exactly happened to the rear tires, because there wasnt much left....

| I believe it did have a bumper. Cant remember what condition it was in. Interior looked in good shape. I'm stopping now. | |

I called them this morning and I ask the guy and he sez... "If I could get my hands on something like that, I'd sell them all day long." "So, no then? Either rusted or dented?" "Yup" "Dammit. Thanks!"
