| I need help quick! I want to buy two steel wheels without the holes that will fit my '95 9C1 in the back. IIRC, regular old Caprice wheels won't work? Or does that just go for SS's? If not, what will fit? I remember buying some Chevy van wheels (solid, without the holes) for it a long time ago (the wheels that are on it now) but don't remember the years that will work. I know there's guys here that know that off the top of your head! I'm hoping to get some on the way home from work today at the local boneyard, but I need to know what to get! This is so I can put my drag tires on some wheels that I can paint to match my front ones for NED on Friday. Anyone going? I'm going with a few guys from work, after work. Thanks for any info! | |

| I never understood the reasoning behind the stockers not working on rear disk cars. They clear the 12" front brakes just fine so I'd imagine they'd clear the rear without much trouble. It's the 9c1 front caliper that would be the biggest issue. By the way I've seen 9c1's and SS's that have the stock Caprice wheel as a spare in the trunk | |

| I have a set of the old 9c1 wheels that clear 14" rear cop drums and I am running an 8.5" drag tire in the back. Came off an 84 impala cop car | |

| My DR's are mounted to plain old steel wheels. Pretty sure they are just regular old sedan wheels meant for hubcap cars. They clear the rear discs fine. | |

| Better tell the guys on issf who say that those wheels make rear brakes lock up on the highway. I think their brakes lock up because they don't know how to adjust them right after "fixing" them | |

| I personaly put 100k on a 95 9c1 with standard wheels and police hubcaps. Never an issue with rear brakes. All mass state police cars came with steel wheels and hubcaps. No n97s |

| All my Mass cars came with N97s under the hubcaps, well at least the ones that had hub cabs. | |

Maybe I am wrong. The one I drove did have civie wheels with caps. Maybe somewhere along the line it picked some up during maintenance/ came from a weird order of cars? I've seen a few oddball Crown Vics and the old 9C1's with weird quirks like that sometimes... | |
