Is it done raining yet?

How's everyone holding up? We have a foot of water in the basement and no heat or hot water as a result until the water recedes...

I thought the wind was going to take away my tent garage too that the Impala is in, or knock it down on top of the car. Somehow these last two crazy storms like this, nothing happens to it...but a ton of mud blew under the roll up door and got all over the place...about 150 lbs of super thick tempered 1970s GM glass I have for the car (from my old one) tipped over against the side of it, but I don't think it dented it (car is under one of those soft covers and the glass is wrapped in cardboard...)

Everything got wet inside as well, I had a ton of cardboard boxes in there and they're soaked! The pipes that make up the framework seem to create condensation and it drips everywhere, I don't see any real holes that could leak this much...so weird

Don't even start with me on the weather! Grrrr... Luckily, I am blessed in the fact that none of my personal property or possesions have been affected by either storm... BUT... I AM TIRED OF WORKING CLEANUP!!!!!! I was out in the effin rain AWL DAY today soaked to the bone through my damn rain gear and boots... ugh. So sick of this shit!

I am in dire need of a new job, and sometimes I'd really like to get into something with utilities right, but last night, I saw a guy on a telephone pole in the dark working in one of those little tent things they can set up around themselves to stay dry. That looked like it was a pain in the ass!

I got these boots that prison guards wear called Thorogoods, the "Commando Deuce" off of Shoebacca.com for something like 34 bucks. They say they are waterproof, and they are the first boots I've ever had that were actually waterproof after I bought them. hahaha. They're well made and comfortable. My feet don't get sweaty in them either! The only thing that pissed me off is they were made in China. Supposed to be all US made, and that's why I had bought them. No wonder why Shoebacca had them cheaper.

I can't wait for the rest of the week to happen, I want to pull my car out and get it running for the season and clean it up. At least all the road salt will be gone.

It just stopped about an hour ago in Dover. The sun is supposed to be out tomorrow.

hopefully the rain has washed away the enormous puddle of oil underneath my cadillac.... this weather makes my job kind of pointless. i wash cars just to park them on a gravel lot in the rain. takes morale in the shop down a notch.
