Our first mod day

Ok guys, it is time to start thinking about our first mod day in mid to late April.

Looking for a host to post up with a date and time that works for them.

As stated before I am happy to host the first mod day, that is assuming everyone is willing to make the drive.

If you guys are willing to make the drive, I will let the group decide which date they prefer, the weekend of the 17th or 24th of April both work for me, and I am not partial to Saturday or Sunday.

So what shall it be? Give me a reason to get that lift installed!

All that being said, I certainly understand if I am too far out of the way for everyone.

I'm in, givin my schedule.

I'm in for a trip to Doug's if there's a chance of working on my car this time. So far I'm 0'fer on getting any stuff done on my car at a mod day. And this car can use at much attention as possible

Brad, if it is a nice day I have PLENTY of driveway space. We could easily be working on 2 cars inside, and 4-6 outside. It is a stone driveway, but as long as it's nothing that involves crawling under the car it's fine.

I'm just screwin with ya. I have no clue what project I'll be needing at that point. I have a list of stuff to do over the summer so who knows. I'd like to have an SS rear-end in my car for the ride home though

With a garage and real tools, I don't see how that would be a problem, hell if that is the case you automatically get a garage bay...LOL

Wait a tick! I have to install a set of fuzzy dice on the rear veiw mirror, So I should automatically get a bay too.

Do you even have a car anymore? I thought someone was going to have to pick you up and drive you around for a while

I guess I'm in, as soon as a date is posted I can give a definite yes or no. Hopefully have my shift kit in by then. My wife actually bought one for me for my birthday. She's such a good wife.

I'd like to go to this, I just don't know what car I'd bring or what I'd do to it...

One other question. I've never been to one of these before, do we kinda make a list of stuff we need to do before we meet? Do we bring tools? Donation to the host? Teach the newbie

I think it is usually easier to everyone if this happens on a Sunday is that right? I have not problem with either a Sunday or a Saturday.

Before I start a thread with full details and a nailed down date, I want to get an idea of which would be better for you guys....

Saturday April 17th with 24th as a rain day
Or
Sunday April 18th with the 25th as a rain day

I'm cool with either day. However, Sunday would be the even better of the two as there is pretty much zero chance id have to work

Sunday for me also if possible, i can't do a sat.

Make sure you have a stereo or tv so that there's some background noise. Most mod days seem to involve alot of banging and swearing so some nice music or maybe some Nascar would help people stay relaxed. Plus some folks show up with folding chairs instead of tools

I'll know on Wednesday what my schedule for April will be. Based on what I'm expecting to hear I'd rather get the mod day in at the earlier weekend which is the 17/18th. Either day.

I'll bring my chairs and some projects for you guys to do.

I am good with either day. Sounds like more people will be up for sunday though.

I can't make it either day if the live deer porn show is still running.

I'm not into that sort of thing and wouldn't want my children to see it either.

I can also bring a couple chairs. Mod days are for watching other poeople work IMHO.

I am going to FL for a week in April during whatever "April vacation" is for kids in school, so if that's the same time I can't go. I think it's later in the month, around the 20th at some point? I'll find out tomorrow.

18th works for me!

I really can't wait to see Doug's place! Either weekend works for me, but I think the earlier one'd be better.

I forgot about the deer porn. Do you charge extra for that or does it come as part of the entire mod-day package? Is flash photography allowed? And should we remember to tip our waitress? So many questions to be answered.

For some reason I thought this was going to be in May.

I don't think I'll be able to make it, lots of overtime at work.

Bill you will have to get someone else to hand you tools.
