Anyone near meredith, NH seen this car?

I think he's looking for trades.... I can't imagine he'd sell that car for $900.

Aren't you looking for a T56 V8? Do we even know it has a V8, much less a T56? I believe the Firebird is "typically" a V6, while the Firebird Formula and Trans Am are typically V8???

Also, expect there to me some rice scraps in there if he is looking for a Honda/Acura. Most likely a teenager, and likely sub-par maintenance...

You are correct.

When he did respond, he said the car was 900 cash firm. Now it's either sold, he fell off the face of the earth, or doesn't want to give me the time of day.

And yes, it is a V6. Auto trans. The cost and time and frustration of an LT1 or LSx isn't what I want. You can make a V6 fast- you just gotta add a few bolts + 75 shot. I have always been a V8 kinda guy but the cost doesn't justify that the goal plain and simple is to just have a fun, fast, daily. That's all I want. But I just stumbled across an auto 93 firebird formula on MA northshore...LT1 with a blown head gasket for $1200. I could talk him down to a grand if I wanted to.

Finding a t56 Z28 or TA around here is going to take a while...dunno if I should just invest the money into getting t56 swap into an auto z28. Considering half the people on here have done a t56 b body swap, an f body has to be a walk in the park.

I'm still all over the map, and probably will be for a while.

I know alot of people on the f-body boards say it's easier and cheaper to sell an auto and go buy a manual instead of swapping. But most internet experts don't have enough experience or guts to try it before they say it. I'd say get one with the v6 in it, then bolt a turbo to it and have a blast.

If you are up for a V6 there are some great deals out there. I see registered, inspected, clean V6 5spds go for $1000-$1500 all day long.

There is 2 on craigslist and was 2 in UH in maine v6 cheap cars.

ThinkI might pull the trigger on a firebird formula with a blown headgasket for 750...I just have to figure out how to get it here and fix it or get it fixed down there.
