I always just leave my stuff in a big pile and nobody ever messes with it. For the most part the people at NED are decent folk.

There will be a few people not racing though.... Maybe you could bum some space in their trunk.

I will add to this because I am not going to read the whole thing to see if it is in there.

These are some of the things they will look for in tech
1.Brake shift interloc must be working
2.Battery must be secured with a factory, or approved hold down
3.No hub caps, or center caps. You must remove them if they snap on.
4.Glass must be in good shape with no cracks
5.Drivers seat belt must work.
6.Current inspection sticker if registered.

Thanks but I bought one cheep.

Im going to be racing. The only thing I'm worried about is not being on the NED schedule. I don't want to drive an hour and a half to not be able to race. Also, would it be advisable to for me to meet up at burger king with everybody else at 7 in the morning or can I just stroll in at 9 or 10 am? I guess I'm asking if there is a certain timeframe that we only have to race in? I understand there's import wars that day.

If you want to bracket race, you need time to get qualifying times and be there for the racing.

I just pull the opti out my 9C1 (Area 51 style in like 15 minutes including a couple smoke breaks). Do you think the one from the car that got flooded will work? The PCM worked OK.

Maybe I'll just bring the Camaro. Its opti is mostly working.

Can we expect a big crowd, other than b-bodies?

I would pull it apart and inspect it. I have used electronics cleaner to spray the opti eye with good results. Also check play in the rotor assembly.

From the symptoms I'm sure I'll find a few burned traces in it.

I have another opti from a blown engine that I'll put in for now. Should be about a 4 smokes job, gotta move a bunch o' junk to get at it. Smile

How much test and tune time do you think there will be for non B-bodies and non imports?

Oh, and #1 and I were at the Target car show in Nashua. So were George, Chris and Jason. It's not like we spend all our time on the web. Smile

Dude! I was THIS CLOSE to being there with DeBlazio, Zupka, and Hamilton tonight! We just grilled out at my house instead. D'oh!!!!!

And the timing should be that we will be leaving the Burger King around 745 or so and rolling to the track. Then get ready, unpack the cars, put on the slicks, whatever and hopefully start the time trials at 9am.

I swear, I have THE WORST LUCK EVAR!

My valve springs were scheduled to come in on Thursday, Wednesday night my brake line blows out. That put me behind a day I spent Thursday fixing my brakes instead of starting my spring/rr swap. Friday. I go and buy a valve spring compressor and get to work. On my third valve spring the compressor breaks. Good thing I am a cheap bastard, after I bought the first compressor I saw the same one $5 cheaper somewhere else and I bought it with intensions of returning the first one I bought. Good thing I did this because the second compressor came to good use. Everything went fine after that untill the first spring on the passenger side. The piece that sits ontop of the stock rocker and under the nut was stuck on the threads, an hour later I got it off and I was steaming along. But no! My luck was not done with me yet! On the LAST SPRING the compressor let go and sent the spring flying across my yard. I managed to find it but the retainer is MIA, I suspect it went into one of the neighbors yards. I was going to throw the stock spring/retainer back in but I still had ALOT of work to do and my setbacks had brought the clock to 2AM. I still had to reinstall the alt. button up the rockers, take the alt back off, mod the VC's bolt them up put the alt back on. Then I have to deal with my loose battery. I bought a universal tray and hold down kit. But of course, mine is rusted to the wheelhouse. I would have been out there till 8am finishing up at the rate I work. So I hate to say I will not be attending. scratch

Sorry for the rant I am pretty bummed out I have spent over $1000 in the past month, missed days of work and spent lots of hours getting this car ready for the drag strip. This would not only have been my first time racing but my first time to a race track period. I had a big weekend planned, race on saturday, drive up to my dads in VT and come home Monday night. Now I will be sitting at home, waiting for another retainer. I been telling everyone im going racing on saturday! Now everyone is going to ask me how it went and I am going to want to STRANGLE THEM!!!!! Evil or Very Mad

I am sorry to hear things did not go well for you. If the retainers are the same, I would reuse the best of what came out of the car, and get that thing going. You could still make it. If nothing else, jump in the olds and head up and watch. I know it is not what you want to do, but at least you can still salvage your day and have some fun watching the big dogs.
