Good Find! LOVE that movie, it seems to be my go-to movie when I am bored on a Sunday afternoon... - iceman3201 wrote:

I picked up Vanishing point in the $4 bin at Walmart a few years ago thinking it might be cool for $4 to just watch a movie with a cool car...Ended up loving the movie, one of the best $4 I ever spent. Doug

| Crank. The bad guys chased him down in a pair of Impalas. Neither one did too well by the end of the chase. | |

| I went out and bought Duel a couple weeks ago because it's never on tv anymore. It's not the most suspenseful movie in the world but the ending is incredible.
Which movie is the flying Nova from? It looks like the Omega we have here.

| I actually thought it left the viewer in suspense, it's just lost some of it because I've seen it so many times...lol
This movie loft clip could very well be from the first time I ever saw the movie...

That flying Nova is actually the Ventura from The Seven Ups car chase...the battered Grand Ville is the other car. They're both in that car chase link I posted, it's awesome! Pretty realistic NYC 70s chase.

| I was thinking that car was a Ventura, but most people don't know what they are. I knew it was either that or an Omega based on the grill but I was leaning towards Ventura since the center piece is narrow. | |

| A couple people just told me they saw my Blazer in "The Fighter". I worked on that movie in a scene they filmed at Billerica House of Corrections. My truck is parked in the background when Christian Bale's character is released from jail. They told me the truck looked "brand new enough" since the movie was set in 1993. Then sherriff's dept. people searched my truck, had me park it in the shot, then took my keys away. Then I stood around for hours talking to people, and eventually worked myself in a scene where there's an argument in a prison visitation room or whatever. Mark Wahlberg was like 5 feet tall surprisingly- a real nice guy came up and talked with people. Christian Bale was being kind of a dick and kept talking with his imitation of a Boston accent. I guess I'd better go see it before someone spoils the movie for me! | |

I guess I'd better go see it before someone spoils the movie for me! Cool, I can see it now.... We are watching the movie when I say, "I know that truck!, and I know that guy, he is in my car club" My wife will then roll her eyes, not believe me, and tell me that we are a bunch of dorks...Good times!
