If I ever hit the Powerball, I'd call them up and see how much money i'd have to throw at them to fit that into a -V wagon.

Yes but it's still over 500 and you'd probably have enough money left over for the Russian bride mod.

I have little to no interest in the coupe, I hate the clusterf--k that is its rear end styling, the damned back window is about as flat as the roof and the rear looks like it has a severe case of "office chair ass". It's not "three-box" format, so it should basically be a two-door sport wagon, yet it's not.
It should have been styled like the sedan with 2 doors.
That being said, this one's styling add-ons kinda mask the stock versions shortcomings...so I kind of like it.
All else aside, I'd definitely take the redhead for a spin. All these posts about a stupid car and I'm first!? Dibs!

I hate all of them, of ALL the cars that Cadillac is now attempting to make look good, why they chose these "things" to waste a suped up v8 engine on is beyond me. Absolutely NO style at all Everytime I see one I die a little inside. Someone needs to get a petition going "either build some elegant cars again or drop the Cadillac name"

.... you need to spend some time behind the wheel or at the dealership getting a closer look......
Performance wise Cadillac is at it's best ever..... style is are far improvement on the early 2000 models. ( yes they need more chrome )
The details are crazy, fin shaped taillights, engraved emblems in the headlights, the feel of the interior materials ( not the same pleatherette you find in chevys & toyotas.)
As for the video..... the guy didnt even get on it ..... those plump girls should of been bouncing of the door panel

I lust after the new V wagon. It's not a "real" wagon, and if you think of it that way, it really is an awesome car. I will have one someday.
And I LOVE those vids! Saw them first when I was looking for vids of Vees while looking for one to buy.

I think that everything coming out of Cadillac is just perfect. I love the edgy styling of Cadillac. And the V series is the balls. If anyone has any doubt about that, just take a ride in Crovo's car. After you get your lips back on your face, you will smile from ear to ear..... Or throw up.
As far as elegant is concerned, welcome to the new millennium. Cadillac had to try to compete with Bens, BMW lexus, infinity, and lincon. Now the other manufactures are trying to compete with Cadillac.
Just my $.02

I don't doubt the performance one bit, and I'm sure there are some neat features on them. Still not an issue for me. It's the shape/lines/styling that I don't care for. Had they come out with NO emblems I would have guessed new Scion or the like. You know what I'm trying to say? I do like the 06+ DTS...that car screams caddy, just not the cts. Srx, and whatever other 3 letter car names they have now. Then again I hate the late 90's sts, and all catera's too.

CRovos car is also "tweaked" unfair to judge a cts on the basis of a test ride in his. If you suped up a new 2010-2012 camaro I'd go just as fast, only it would look good doing so. I understand evolution of a car and change is inevitable, I just wish they had a better design.

Actually, a new camaro with my mods would be waaaaaaay faster than my car. At least in mine, you can SEE while you're driving.
And for the record, my car's drivetrain is so highly modified, that it has just barely more power than the new stock Vees.
My suspension, and therefore the ride and handling, is bone stock.

Should be about 600hp at the crank.

When I look at the CTS coupes from side, it reminds me of when I was trying to write my name in penmanship in elementary school, made the letters too big as I wrote, then ran out of room at the end...it's like they were trying to do something else, and then when they got past the quarter window, they got confused and gave up.
I actually like all the other new Cadillacs! Like was said, they had to be competitive, or there would be NO new Cadillacs. I do think they should have some sort of a new "heritage" themed flagship or co-flagship model, that has retro styling cues, chrome, and whitewalls... kind of like how Toyota has that weird "Century" that they sell over in Japan.

Idk man. A director friend of mine just got an XTS. It's "base". But dammit its a gorgeous car. Rides like a Caddy "should". Does it look like one? No, but sadly thats because buyers today don't really want classic caddy looks. Billy hit the nail on the head. They have to compete with Lexus, BMW, Merc, Audi and all the other luxury brands.

Competing doesn't have to mean copying though. GM has always had the better looking cars because they weren't afraid to be bold and had stylish designs. Example: off the top of your head..... You know what a 1957 dodge looks like? But I bet you damn well know what a 1957 chevy looks like. These aren't classic cadillacs. And they arent supposed to be. In 57 a 57 chevy was a daily driver, It's only a classic NOW because it was cherished and stood out and people remembered it for being flashy and bold. I can't see people in 60 years saying "remember the 09 cts-v".... Because they look like everything else out there. I'm not arguing why Cadillac makes these cookie cutters, business is business, I'm just wondering how long before we see something GREAT again, and why waste a 556hp engine on a compact car (that's how I see it Compact Touring Sedan) Perfect example 91 caprice comes out... , 3 years later we get the Impala SS...

If I had to choose a new caddy It would be the XTS but only because the DTS is discontinued, I think the cts should have gotten the 304hp 3.6. And the DTS/XTS should have been rwd 600hp powerhouses.

I'll take the 750hp v12 outta that no problem! Cadillacs must age like fat chicks, (rear ends keep getting uglier!)

That Hennessy V looks violent. I dig it . But I somehow feel like its missing the point of being a Cadillac. You know, smooth, quiet riding, subtle elegant looks. Not that this would stop me from driving it....
