will i have issues with my new rearend with the 4.10 gears and my stock driveshaft??

The common answer is 3.73's are the dividing line (some have vibes, some dont)
Anything after that requires a driveshaft.
Also depends on extended LCA's.
Thats just the USUAL answer tho....anything could happen.

I had 4:10 put in in my stock Caprice with LT-1 rearend and used the stock driveshaft and I have had no problems at all with it . Just my speed is looking crazy lol

I too had 4.11 gears with stock shaft and no trouble.

I plan to go aluminum on the 96 asap

Mine with the T56 didn't vibrate til about 80mph. But it's a harmonic thing with the steel driveshaft. You just can't avoid the physics... Wink

thanks i plan on getting a new driveshaft when the new motor goes in. but me new rearend should be in next week and i didnt know if i could do alittle "test driving" with my stock shaft for now..

Yes, thats why a drive-shaft loop is such a great idea!
Calculate your driveshaft speed by tire diameter & wheel RPMs, rear gear ratio and the maximum expected vehicle speed.
Then, measure your driveshaft length and refer to this chart below:
