| I'm having a little trouble getting a warm fuzzy feeling that I can get rear shocks for the RMW that are OEM style. All the ones I see pics of online do not look like my factory ones at the air line connection. Any recommendations on hassle-free replacements? I want to just plug in my line to the new shocks and go, if possible. Thanks guys! | |

| Have you used them? They look like they have a threaded connection for the air line. Will the factory air line in my wagon snap right onto them? | |

I have not, my compressor is shot so I just swapped to heavy duty conventional shocks But this is the replacement for the stock air shocks.

| I"m looking for an exact replacement. That's one of the ones I saw earlier, but the connection looks alot lower and looks to be a different kind of connection although it's hard to tell for sure.
My system still works and I'm hoping to find shocks that are just like stock and will plug right in. Or at least plug right in.
Gotta be some out there, anyone?

Thats what these are. I don't understand what you're looking for.... There are also these by Monroe http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=61822 These are the only OEM style replacements, everything else will be aftermarket probably.

| You can use an aftermarket air shock. They sell kits to adapt it to the factory air lines. | |

Thats what these are. I don't understand what you're looking for.... Well, ideally I'm looking for someone to say "I've used brand x part number xxxx and the factory air line snapped right on". The Gabriel's air fitting is WAY lower than the stock one, and of course GM didn't splurge on the air line, there isn't any extra. I don't think it would reach on the Gabriels. The Monroe's fitting is higher, still lower than stock, but it might reach. However they look like a different type of fitting. Those both seem to be universal aftermarket air shocks and I don't need all the extra hardware and lines and shit. I just figured before I buy and return five different shocks before I found one that worked, I'd see if anyone here had experience with this and knew from experience what worked with the factory air lines. If not, I guess I'll try the Monroes. Thanks for the input.

| Yeah.. the ones posted are the OEM replacements. I know wagon guys have used the Gabriel ones as a replacement for the stock air shocks. Besides, both kits include new tube for probably that reason. Idk what else you want to know, these are really the only two replacements you can get. GM doesn't make them anymore. Chances are you'll have to modify the tubes a bit. You say you dont want the extra tube but then say GM deosnt include enough? | |

| Wish I had more information to offer you than these two chuckleheads Rob, but I don't. Sorry. So far as I know, those are your only choices. You just got to use their supplied air lines and splice the needed length onto yours. As far as I know, my marshmallow still has the stock rear shocks on it, and they still work. You are welcome to them, but they do have 175K on them, potentially. I never changed them and they've been on it since I bought it with 140K. I hope to be doing them in the next month... Also, check out the GMLongroof Forum if you're not already a member there. They may have more info, as they are a more wagon-centric bunch. | |

What I meant was, the factory line is not long enough to have to travel the extra inch or two for the aftermarket ones I don't think. But it is, of course, long enough for the factory shock. Your last post and Bill's answers my question. If there is no exact replacement and the two mentioned are my only two options then I'll make 'em work. I was hoping not to screw around splicing and adapting n shit, but if I have to I will. Thanks for the offer, Bill, but I'll go with the new ones. Any helpful hints on getting the old ones out? I've done it once on the Delta 88 and remember that it sucked. Hey Bill I think you're gonna like what I've got planned for Big Woody. He's getting a facelift. (or should I say faceDROP) The mods are starting after only what, 10 years? Thanks for the replies, guys.
