| This car when sitting at idle has a misfire. Sometimes switching gears it dies. It also hesitates when taking off from a stop. I have a good opti laying around. Should I change the opti plugs and wires? | |

| Yeah, I'd look at the wires for sure. Look for sparks running at night... | |

| How old is the gas? I never heard how long it was sitting. I'd run a tankful thru it before opening anything up | |

Thanks Bill. I had a friend put the car in gear while I checked under the hood. Sure enough, there is an arcing wire on the passenger side. - sdstick wrote:

| That had a used opti, brand new plugs. But the wires were not changed. The gas was good. And it was run twice a week out in the yard. | |

| Glad you found the wire. Simple things are the problem 95% of the time. Thats 1 good looking vehicle. Just dont get into trouble with the new look (light & antenna)
