| I want to try blacking out the B and C pillar areas of the doors on my car kind of like the 91 Caprices (maybe the 92) had. I was going to paint them, and even though I've seen plenty of cars like this and know what it would probably look like, I'm timid about changing it and then having to repaint them white if I wanted to change things back.
Does anyone know of some easily obtainable black vinyl adhesive stuff kind of like what is used for doing vehicle wraps where I could just apply it on the car? I've seen the kits on eBay for blacking out the chrome around the windows on SS cars, etc, and I see the chrome pillar kits, so I'm wondering if there's already a blackout kit for these parts?

| Adam Haack down in Florida makes them, if you want a pre-cut set. He does all my work. He's on the national forum, too.

| Crovo, Do you know if he does big stuff like custom woodgrain? I'm thinking of pulling mine and going wood delete or putting on some stuff like the 70's wagons: | |

| I did this back in early summer, never got around to posting a photo. Before: After: Kinda funny how the wheels, grille and blackout vinyl changed the entire look of the car. Crazy! I got these from Adam Haack. There were one or two extra pieces, I can't remember. But some are taller and skinnier for the middle pillars, and some are shorter and wider for the back. I think I had one extra tall skinny one. Either way, if I could do this over again, it would come out better next time. I didn't realize how much crap was under the trim on the door around the windows, and even stuff stuck to the paint, that was when the car was clean too. Literally, a DUST particle will cause a bump in this vinyl, and you can't get it out, you will have to live with it. It's that tricky! I removed the fasteners on the chrome trim around the windows so I could tuck the black behind them, and I tucked it behind the rubber around the windows too. You need to cut them bigger and tuck in the excess. I think I may take an extra piece I have, and cut slivers to put on the inner B-pillars so you can't see white in the crack between the front and back doors when they're closed. Lot of trial and error involved. So far it's held up well! | |

| Wonder if he does wagons... I was thinking bout doing mine when the wood comes off. I was just gonna ratte can them and if they dont look good, just have them painted over when the car goes for paint. | |

| He does do wagons, he asked if I had a sedan or a wagon when I sent him a payment.
I'd do these. I was going to paint, but that's not as reversible as just peeling off a vinyl thing. And this stuff almost looks like it's painted on, I couldn't believe how well it contoured to the car. It's just a bish installing it!
