What kind of LEDs are they? Do you mean the plastic base? If they are the neowedge kind, the plastic base is part of the bulb: http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?action=DispPage&Page2Disp=%2Finstrument.html

| yes the base of the bulbs,I did read that you can use the base from the Impala cluster but not the Z/28 cluster base because they are soldered but they look the same too me

| I don't know if it will work but I just broke the bulbs out of the base and I had to bend the wires on the LED to the side so they could make contact.
PS. how many of the bulbs on the Z/28 cluster need to be changed ? their is 20 of them and I only got 10 LED's

| So you got the LEDs that have the 2 leads and no base I'm guessing? When I first got my truck, I didn't know where to get neowedges OR LED bulbs. The HVAC buttons were all burned out and it drove me nuts, so I went to Radio Shack, got some random tiny bulbs for use on little circuit board projects that come with long leads, picked out the solder and the old leads from the bases with a thumbtack, then threaded the leads from the new ones right where the old ones went and bent them in a fashion so they'd make contact when screwed back in. Has been working for five years. | |

| I got the 194 LED's for the cluster and 74 LED's for the HVAC and 12v micolamp for the headlight switch. the 74's pluged right in the HVAC and the micobulb I had too break the bulb out of the base and wrap the wires around the sides of the twist lock base.
on the Camaro forum they are using these http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?action=DispPage&Page2Disp=%2Fspecs%2FWLED-x5.htm
and these for the base I believe http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?action=DispPage&Page2Disp=%2Fspecs%2FT10_sockets.html
