| I tried the Primary fan fix as outlined but I couldn't get any spade connectors big enough, (I looked in 3 different places). SO I thought I would find switched power under the hood and just have it run when the car is on. Since the wiper motor is big amp I pulled the 6 wire connector off and found 12 volts on #1 & 4 (counting top down). So I tied in, wired it all up, and when everything was buttoned up and the key turned..no fan. I pulled the connector again got 12, checked fuse I installed inline and got 12, but when i plug the connector back in to the wiper I get 1.4?????
I need this car for work on Monday, can anyone tell me where I can find switched power under the hood? Please | |

| try the air pump or the air pump fuse in the fuse box

did you fry the wires? might need a new fan motor, you should convert it to the stock twin fan

| Since I removed the air pump, and have no need for the wires that once went to it, I will check that out. I doubt the pump was meant to run with the car off so that should be switched.....HHMM I will check it out after I eat | |

| You can get those spade terminals at a GM garage, I did when when I converted to the 2 fan system.

| The air pump connector itself won't provide you with the power your looking for. You need the hot wire at the air pump fuse which should be a switched hot if I'm not mistaken. Otherwise your fan will only power on when the ecm says to turn on the air pump and that wouldn't be much help to you. | |

Why cant you use the factory fans, or wiring? Just do what Bobby said. But find the primary fan relay, pull the relay, run a blade terminal to one side, and send the wire to a switch, and just return to the otherside. You will have direct power, switched that you can control and not have to run a lot of wires. |
