I love how that pic came out, I didn't like how the car sat though so I put cargo coils in the back to level it out a little. I think I'm going to put some 255s on there too, the 235s that were on the car when I got it look a little dinky. I might even put some of the 1.3" whitewall tires on there if I can find them, seems you have to buy them online these days.

Thanks! I couldn't pass it up when I found it, the green one was a blast and EVERYONE had something to say about it, but it was getting really rotted, the frame was good but the front floors, trunk, quarters, doors, and fenders were all starting to go. Someone restored it in the 80s with lots of Bondo.

This one I found on CL the same night I pulled some duct tape off the green one's trunk floor, causing a hole the size of my head to rip out showing the frame and exhaust system under the car. I went in the house all pissed off, got online, typed in Impala in the Maine CL, and this was the first car that came up. Considering it was the somewhat rare pillarless hardtop and identical to my car aside from the color, I took that as a sign, drove up to Portland, and test drove it around the jetport before buying it. The car is from Springfield, MA, but some guy in Raymond bought it and owned it for a matter of weeks before I grabbed it from him.
The car was in storage from the late 80s to the late 90s until someone inherited it from a grandparent or something. The original owner passed away around 1984, and his wife drove it until she could no longer drive at all. It had 46K original miles when I got it, I have all the paperwork for it since new including the original non-wrinkled title, dealership bill of sale, canceled bank check for the car, receipts, they even tallied up the gas expenses and mileage, wrote them in little notebooks, and sometimes calculated the MPG without the use of a trip odometer since the car never had one.
I also used this car in a movie production last year, some movie called The Box that comes out this Halloween, I had to drive the car in the snow a few times, which it probably hadn't seen since the early 80s, but I worked on it for a month, made a bunch of money, and it got my foot in the door for doing movie extra work!

I might actually do something to the rear, because it rides too hard right now, or something doesn't feel right anyway. I put TRW HefTCoils in the green one with KYB Gas A Justs all around...then in this one, I put the same springs but Bilstein sport shocks, the back seems to bounce hard and ride funny. It does handle surprisingly nice for what it is though, I've had people pull up next to me and say they couldn't beleive it took certain exit ramps at speed, etc. I still need a sway bar.

I know a lot of people who are professional grade photogs, I'm really not that talented, I just know the basics and stuff. I really want to get a nice DSLR but for the prices those pull in, I could get an LT1 Roadmaster.

That was Danvers State Hospital, it's gone now, torn down in '06 to put up crappy condos. They did save a front wall from one building as the facade for a new one, but they should have saved the whole thing and redid the inside IMO.

lol, I've been to about a dozen other ones too, even went to PA to see a couple places (all abandoned like that one). I must be nuts!

Alright sorry. It took like 3 days for me to realize wtf you meant by 'CLIFFS'.

Nothing major. The kid just rammed it into a 18" inch curb at a funny angle in reverse.

He continued to drive it for a little while. It was never the same after that though.

I ended up modifying the stock track that night because I just had to get it done as soon as possible. Now it sits in the garage with really comfortable seats.

Here are some updated pics of my car. Dont mind the mediocre quality of my cell phone. I traded tails with someone. I also came across a great deal for the caprice alloys with new white wall tires. My tires were shot. I also just redid my front brakes because I blew right through the ones I put on at our last mod day. Did new calipers pads and had the rotors cut down. Less talk more walk.

So some jerk dive into my lane on a two lane bridge, I swerve hydroplane, spanked the guardrail, and had a caprice with a black eye. So after some hunting cobbing and such I stick her back together with a bumper skin and fender off a 92 Caprice. it's still not 100% right but it's my Daily driver, all i need is it to start and get me where I'm going.
