| This is only slighlty in the ballpark as Rich's thread so I figured I'd start new. Is there a way to decrease the time it takes for the interior lights to shut off after the door closes? I wait for the light to go out before I walk away from the car and this will be the third winter of me standing outside in the cold waiting for the light to go out every time I leave the car . I was tempted to just pull the wires out of the door switch and tie them together, but in the future I'd like to add an alarm and don't want to have to mess with cut wires. I'm hoping someone can tell me of a relay or something that will turn them off after 15-20 seconds as oppossed to 45-60 seconds. | |

| Why, do they sometimes stay on? | |

| If they are automatic, why do you wait for them to go out? Every car I own has delay int lights, and my truck has delay headlights, and tail lights. I shut the truck off and walk away. |

| Someone has issues with believing in modern conveniences and electricity. I think it has something to do with a green box relay thingamahdooey near your left foot. | |

| If you check out the reply I made on Rich's post you'd see that at one point the doorjam switch was loose and the light wouldn't go out. Since then the dome light flickers a bit before it shuts off. Then you lazy bastards can check out my electrical issues and piece the 2 together to see why I wait to make sure the light shuts off | |
