| I Doing around 75 or so and hit the brakes and the rear drums just locked up on me and sent me into a drift. That was fun and great, but I really don't wanna do it again. How can I loosen the shoes? Do I just jack the car up and use a crowbar to loosen the adjuster and feel for play? Or what? | |

| Take the tires off, pull the drums off and see how much pad you have left. Post up some pics. | |

| Stop braking! Problem solved. I would back the adjusters off one to two full turns and check the condition of the shoes, and hardware. |

| Brakes are over-rated. Just take em off and throw em away. These cars do come with airbags you know, and it's not like it's hard to find a solid tree near where you want to be stopped. It's harder for us in the city cause there are fewer trees and pedastrians don't do a very good job of bringing such large vehicles to a stop. I mean you need alot of them, or one really large one, to even slow down the huge amount of mass that we roll across the Earth everyday. And I'm not going to make a joke at Crovo's expense even though I see two places for a really funny comment just in that last sentence alone Now to be honest if your locking up the brakes you may need to look into how well the abs is functioning after your done doing what the other guys suggested. | |
