Yes, the Transgo HD-2 shift kit is the shift kit you want as if fixes a few factory flaws. I love it. And firming up you shifts is a good way to prolong the life of that transmission. The stock trany will take a fair amount of abuse , but the 4L60E is prone to faiure. But don't let that scare you.
Even a tune will firm your shift points and change them.
