| I'm a pretty good judge for what our cars are worth as far as sale prices go, but lately it seems nobody has been able to sell one no matter how cheap the price. With that in mind what is the actual value for these cars right now based on ones that are actually being sold and traded?
I figure with people out of work and trying to pay rent and mortgages that cars are not going to fetch big dollars, but it seems pretty nuts how bad it's getting. I know Billy Mac has been having trouble selling the RMS which worries me since it's worth more than he's asking. I also noticed on issf nobody can seem to sell anything no matter the condition or the price.
Before anyone asks why I care.....I'm asking because mine might be up for sale soon and I'm wondering if it'd be a better idea just to scrap it for the couple hundred a junkyard would give me and save myself the hassle of trying to sell it. | |

| I sold mine just fine, and it was never actually put up for sale with an ad and all that... The car will sell if it's priced right. Big, heavy, rwd cars are seen as gas pigs and don't sell well in an economy like this. Unless they are in the "beater" price range, they are a tough sell right now. | |

| Your car is noteworthy though which makes it less representative of the cars out there right now. And mine is deffinetly a beater class car It seems like beaters are going for $500-$750 Nice condition highway cruisers are around $1,500 Really nice condition low mile cars are going for around $3,000 Impalas are going for at least $1,000 more in each catagory RMS's are going for roughly the same as Caprices No clue on what Fleetwoods are going for I'd say overall the cars are going for half what they were when I bought mine a few years ago. When I bought mine it was a steal at $900 and that was because it had the L99 and needed some work done. Now I can get one with a LT1 and better mileage for the same price | |

| Most people are having a hard time selling anything at all right now. My friend is trying to sell a mint, adult owned, laser red SVT Cobra convertible so he can put money down on a house, and no one is biting. One guy put 100 bucks down, then changed his mind because he found one a year newer. When I first got my Impala I had people offering me 6500-7500 bucks for it, then when the economy got worse, the people bugging me have thinned out substantially, now it's just once in a great while. I suppose it's a good time to buy though, so if you're in need. I'm unemployed so I'm having a hard time controlling myself with all these cheap cars I see. | |
