So Who Feels Dumb --- THIS GUY!

A few months ago, my Impala pooped out on me as I was driving to the movies. Crank, no start, no CEL at key on, engine off.

The lack of a CEL led me to believe that my PCM crapped out on me. Put in a known good PCM. Still no CEL, no spark, no fuel....crap. My dad says "Check the fuses". In my infinite wisdom I never thought to check the SIMPLEST thing you can do. I find the fuel pump fuse is bad. Put a new one in and my CEL came back on. YAY! Crank, nothing, OK. Check spark, yup, has spark....I know cuz it bit me. SSOO, I have a junk fuel pump!

After months of my baby sitting there I know what it is!

Who wants to help me do it?!

Not to mention that I had to face the cold, harsh reality that the Impala may not have as much in her as I thought. She's rusty.....way more than I'd like to admit

What would you guys recommend for a replacement pump. The racetronix pump from Thunder Racing looks pretty dang good.

AC Delco pump and intank harness. This is by far the best way to keep from doing it twice.

NAISSO has an "OE" fuel pump for 128 clams. I'd immagine it would be pretty good. Any other suggestions? I was gonna give McCabe a ring and see what price he can get.

I need tank straps, where is the best place to get 'em, again, was gonna ring McCabe and see.

With all my new free time I am just gonna fix the thing.

And oddly enough, finding out my fiance is prego gave me motivation to keep the Impala.

Like I said, very indecisive.
