The cruise doesn't work in my Caprice, won't hold a speed and all that happens is the car will accelerate if I hold the switch to ACCEL on the stalk.

Anyone else have problems with this before? Any tips on what to check? My brake lights all work as well as the third brake light.

Probably the control box itself is going bad. The plastic gears don't last forever.

I'm with Brad, It is probably the box, or a vacume leak.

Hmm...I thought it would be something minor with the car having such low miles, but maybe the lady used it a lot...who knows. I'll take the cover off the box and look inside (some time after we get snow dumped on us...lol)
