As many of you know, I did the passenger side, and it was the first patch repair I had ever done. Then I put my super skillz to work on Bill's Big Ugly. Doing both sides. So this will be number 4. And because it was so hard to get a drivers side patch, I plan on taking my time and doing it right.
When I did the passenger side, I made my own patch and was very happy with the results.
Here is a recap of my very first patch panel.
DA KID got skillz.

Had some time this morning to start seperating the outer and inner panels apart. This is the boring part but it has to be done, so I am posting pics.
Outer skin seperated.

I finally got my battery charger back. So I decided to give the rust removal phosphate dip a try on the 1/4. I have used it many times and it removes rust well. I did some sway bars that came out so good, I was able to have them powdercoated after a good wipe down with brake cleaner.

Don't joke. I actually kept watching it, thinking I was going to pull it out and it would have a hole in it. But it is just surface rust. The quarter is solid. Very Happy
