So I sold the SS earlier this summer and I sold my 85 K10. Being down 2 cars in my life I had to fill that hole with something:
New Ride 68chevelle_zpsorblgkpc

Car is an 1968 Chevelle SS clone, originally a 6cyl Deluxe model. Currently houses a 396 BBC and TH350.

I do miss the SS, but this was a good replacement. I also sold my old 85 K10 which I had a lot longer than the SS. I won't lie, I cried a little when I sold the truck.

I'll get more pics up soon.

I drove the car to work the other day and a guy in my office was asking if I felt safe storing it in my attached garage. I said sure, why would I be worried about keeping it in my garage?

He said that as the car has no evap/charcoal canister that it is basically venting fumes from the tank into my house and that I should not store it in an attached garage. I guess *technically* he is right but folks have stored old pre-smog emissions cars in garages, attached or otherwise for years. I never really thought about it before.

He drives a Prius anyway.

Worst thing from no evap system is loss of fumes in warm weather means less gas for driving. Not that I would notice. I did the numbers and I am only getting 8 MPG.

LOL of course he does.

That car is not about MPG, enjoy it even if she is thirsty! Sweet score man!
