Ok so as you see my 96 has a monster cowl on it...which I like....duct taped on, lol. this weekend I plan on doing it right. So what I am going to do is first clean and prep the hood and the scoop. Then I was gonna line it up and secure it down with some self tapers and some marine glue between the scoop and the hood. Let that dry then shave the square edge of scoop touching the hood down to a smoothish point but not taking any of the width away which is about 1-1.5 inches. After that remove the self tapers once its dried and start laying the fiberglas on. this is where I'm not to sure on things. I was going to 3 layer it and extend it out past the edge of the scoop about 2 inches. Being I have never done any fiberglas work is there and tips or tricks to it? Is the method I'm thinking of doing good? How low should I sand it down? Also do I need to put relief cuts in the hood and if so where? Any help is appreciated.
