| I had the ignition recall performed last week. I noticed the new key does not work in the door. It is cut all wrong. So while dealing with that, I had the car inspected. It needed a lot of work. Plus it had rot that I was unaware of. Walked into the sales dept keeping my mouth shut about what the service department had said, and now it seems I have a new Silverado RCSB in my yard.... Again! Rolling Eyes New 4.3 V6 with 285HP/305FT LBS of torque and 24 mpg with DOD. Way more power than my 08, and you can feel it. It is quick.

| Wait... So did you trade the hhr in? The impala? I'm confused. What about the jeep?
Oh, and congrats! I drove a few of the 5.3 crew cabs. A z71 and a standard one. The chevy was a dog (?) but the gmc was a rocketship... Wtf??? How can they be so different?
Good luck with yours! What color? Better pics!

| Looks like the HHR is gone from the sig...that's odd because I thought it looked like it was in great shape, where do those rot?
That truck looks awesome. It makes me want to downsize to just the yellow Impala and something like that I can drive around in and be proud of having a new, clean vehicle, lol.

Good luck with yours! What color? Better pics! It is how they are equipped. Axle ratios, and such. I tried a couple, and I thought one felt doggy til I noticed the climate control was on. I shut it off, and whoo baby! The HHR is like the wind. $8500 in rebates, and 3.9 APR, and I was going to be paying on the HHR for another 2 years, and it had 107k when I traded it. It was a no brainer. The Impala is in the driveway. I actually drive that a lot. The truck is a 2WT which is basically the equivalent of the old LS trim. It is Silver with 3.23/posi. Thank you. - Matt Trakker wrote:

The bottom of the doors on the inside. I fixed them two years ago. but they got bad over this summer. I did not see the rot starting underneath. So it is still a nice car, but now worth putting a grand into to pass inspection. I was able to bury 3k of negative equity, and still get the truck at a great price with no money down.

| It's nice that the WT's come with power windows and locks now. I like the black paintable grille. Color match all the trim and drop it on its nuts. Can the v6 tow? Both those trucks were 3.42's with the ac cranking when I drove them. | |

I actually like this style with the chrome. Plus with the 2WT package, I get a back tinted window, power windows, and mirrors, cd player, chrome wheels, bumpers, and grill, remote keyless entry, and bluetooth. And some stuff I am forgetting. I plan on dropping it eventually with some cool black wheels. It was this or a base red long bed. Phyllis told me to suck it up, and buy this one. - toomanytoyz wrote:

6400 lbs trailer towing limit with the V6. I also just learned that I have the LV3 Flex fuel e85 v6. It produces 297hp, and 330 ft lbs of torque. I could easily tow the Impala on a trailer with this. Like I said. It flies. It pulls hard off the line, and just gets it done. The only two options on it is trailer tow package with limited slip rear, and rear window defroster.

| Wow...I want one! lol. It seems like a nice blend of utility and practicality, and I actually like the stock wheels on it also. Is that a 4x4 or a RWD? It's hard to tell. I always feel like I'd have a hard time getting approved to make payments on a new vehicle like that, but I'm getting to this point where I'd like to (even though I'm huge on not sucking up potential depreciation and such) if there are incentives to be had. I've never owned a brand new anything. | |

| Made the right choice Billy! I would love to grab one, but I have no credit good or bad so it aint happening yet! The ONLY thing I really don't like about these new body style trucks are the damn interiors! I hate it! GUH! I've been in every trim option available and nothing looks right to me. Exterior they hit it out of the park, awesome truck! Glad you have the right two cars in the stable now! | |

Glad you have the right two cars in the stable now! Thanks Matt. I could not be happier. This truck rocks. My only complaint is the "My link" radio. It is very complicated to figure out for no reason, and you have to take your eyes off the road or pull over to make any adjutments beyond volume or changing the station. The settings are like a new TV. Real PITA

| I asked the salesman if I could get a radio with actual buttons instead of touch screen crap. He looked at me almost as strangely as he did when I asked if I could it with a manual transmission.... | |

| They know me so well from purchasing vehicles and working with many of them, that they gave me a plate, and some screws along with the keys, and told me to go find it, and drive it. So I did not really get a chance to go over features since I figured I know everything anyways. I actually beat the snot out of a similar truck to see what the new v6 could do. But I took Will Smith's advice Will Smith | |

LOL I think the only full size pickup on the market with a manual transmission is a Dodge HD with a Cummins, and hell that could even go away soon too!

(pretty much all it says is, the noises are normal, and relax) Thanks Al. I am quite relaxed. I am familiar with the engine noise on the new 4.3. Did I mention this thing flies? Funny thing is. I purchased the truck, and now it sits in the garage because I do not want to put miles on it. So I am still driving the Impala all 2 miles each way to work.

| So after 5 months, and 3500 miles, I can say if you want a modern rocketship, get a 2wd 5.3 regular cab short bed GM truck with the tow package. If you just want something as fast as our Impalas, buy the V6 version. I love this truck. It does everything right. My only two complaints is why GM would not think people who buy work trucks would want a remote start? It is not even prepped for it because it is a Work Truck, so I have to go aftermarket to get one. The other thing is the radio. It sucks. Can't upgrade it because the HVAC is tied into it as is the bluetooth. This truck is so fun to drive. Just turn on the tow/haul ass mode, and let the games begin. Turn off the traction/stabilitrac and she will roast them on demand. | |

| Thanks guys. It is hard to believe just stripes, and wheels would change the look so much. I wanted to match the engine decals on the hood, so I had the sign guy lay out the red pinstripe after he put on the rally stripes. It really made it pop. I have gotten so many compliments on it. | |

Surprisingly, yes! Phyllis mentioned that it felt more flat on a ramp we always take. I noticed it right away as well.
