Tranny needed! Not B-body related so delete if necesary!

Hey guys,


Sorry this isn't a B-body specific post but I have a favor to ask!

I know many of us are always on the lookout for some LS parts and swap cars/trucks. But I have a request!

If anyone in their travels finds/knows someone who has a 4L80E in good operating condition please let me know!

Not sure which years will work but it is going into a 2003 Sierra 2500HD 4x4 with a 6.0. Plow truck down!

You will need to look for one that is 02 and newer I believe, I'm trying to find one for my 97 gmc 1ton and the Internet says 91-01 for my application.

Thanks for the heads up, I've seen a few online for that era with t/cases off of 6.5 trucks. Could be worth checking out the flat-landers craigslist for

Yeah, been there and saw the options. I'd rather get a reman and shell out the cash with what they want for used with 170K on them

Matt are you still looking for a transmission? I have a lead on a 2003 1 ton parts truck. Not sure if it's a 4L80E as I have to wait a couple weeks to see it, but it apparently has 52k miles.

Damn, I got a used unit with a warranty a few weeks ago. But I may be interested in other parts depending on the truck/condition.

Power doors? What color? Bed/no bed SRW? DRW? I need a tailgate for sure!

I will find out more about it on Monday. So far it's a 2003 GMC 1 ton, DRW, 8.1L, no bed. It has a flatbed. Everything will be up for grabs except the engine.

Holy shit, if it's an 8.1 I'm pretty sure you'll be getting an Allison that's worth more than anything else you'll be buying form that truck...
