The "New" Toms9C1/ Wintah Beatah!

This was my 1st 9C1, JR got it for a graduation then grew tired of it and abandoned it like a stray dog,poor thing. It is in decent shape considering the rear was the worst, so hear it is.

Yeah that's a "Real" Level 3 4l65e. I paint that em that way. Easy to ID, and I think they look good

That been welded at one of the mounting holes? Level 3? I'm sure Tom can blow it up! ;-)

I flushed the passenger side of the Radiator twice, where the tranny lines hook up. Everything else is Brand New!

Just got the inspection sticker on last week, and on the first trip to Lewiston (40 Mi.) this is what fell off. lol.

I saved the exhaust off the 95 9C1 For a replacement.

Nothing lasts forever Glen. But we have all our ducks in a row on this one.

Almost forgot about Stainless lines.

I just spent a whole day replacing rusted brake lines, those stainless ones are the best thing I ever saw!

One of the things i like about the Stainless Steel lines is i can also use an open ended wrench on the fitting without it slipping and ruining it. Even using the "line" wrench, it slips over the steel fittings and there you get the "knuckle buster"! I bought another set for my B4U, just because.

Update on the 94!

Got the door panels out of a 1992 Roadmaster sedan, same as my B4U. I figured out after I needed the cross floor Harness for it to work

Thanks guys Center it up, cut and paste and that's all there is to it! Not really, I'm not a very good liar I put a lot of thought into it. There is a center hole where the Ticket light was, I used a shorter trim screw through the console guide hole as not to bottom out on the roof. I think the console came out of a Pontiac mini van or something. I'll get some pics of it when I go out next time.

Keeping busy as the 4L60E is Being "refreshed". Bring on the POR 15!

So I ran the extra wire (PCM connector D pin 6 to pin "U" on the trans harness for the TCC to work) and yes it is more work but I went the extra step with Nuke grade heat resistant tape. (

And this is what's left after tearing out the "extra wire".

So I finally got the tranny back from the builder, it took me awhile to get it installed with work and all. Take it for a test ride, 1st gear good, 2nd gear, weird , NO 3rd, 4th fucked up, But I do have TCC Lock up! As we speak the builder is trying to diagnose the problem starting VB. But as most of us know all roads lead to 3/4 failure, even on a new rebuild if not done properly.

Stopped by the builders shop this afternoon. He ended up pulling my trans, 3rd gear was smoked. Before I even got it out of the driveway, how the f%ck does that happen?! He said it felt like it was binding up in 3rd, so he is rebuilding it.

Tough finding guys to do the work RIGHT....

There is another shop in Lewiston towards Lisbon. Accidentally found this place looking for a truck (deep) pan. I'm bringing it there to have the crush sleeve installed after the trans. issue is settled.
