Cleaning out my basement, we found the dealer invoice for the '87 Jimmy my father bought brand new that year when my parents found out yours truly was going to enter the world  Laughing . Thought you guys might like it.

Nice!

Would have been even better if it was a big boy, but a Jimmy is just fine!

A "Jimmy" was generally a reference to the K5, an S15 Jimmy was an S15 Jimmy, lol . Just to complicate things even more with the Blazer S-10 Blazer, then the K1500 Blazer, then the Tahoe, the Yukon, South American Grand Blazer...Mexican Chevy Sonora...some covered wagons, Ladas, etc...

And both of them are truck based so I'd call them a truck Matt!

It's funny because the font/type for that invoice looks so much older than 1987. That place must've been using old office equipment!

Or one of those huge purple/other odd color IBM Selectric typewriters. kehd. Laughing

Thats why they had to buy the Jimmy, she couldn't get into a full size truck  Laughing

Something lol. Plus, if you notice too, they were an Freightliner and GMC HD truck dealer, I think the small trucks must have been a side business for them. I'll have to ask my dad how they ended up getting it there. Because there is a GMC dealer in Chicopee 3 miles from our house lol.

I think I figured it out. They were also a Fisher dealer. He had a fisher plow on it, I bet the Chicopee GMC dealer didn't do plows.  Cool

 face palm

Truck truck = "Big boy"

Light truck

What I meant was that it would have been cool to see the receipt and price for a BIG truck as opposed to a little truck. hope that clears up the confusion. I know that the jimmy both full size and s15 based were considered trucks. I get it. Also, if we really want to get technical for no reason "jimmy" is slang for a GMC truck.
