| At the suggestion of a couple people here and on Longroof, I got the Summit Racing G9001 headers. Do they need any sort of mods before they're installed on a TBI car? I'm ready to send them out to get coated, but the shop suggests test fitting before they coat em, I don't want to sideline the wagon for 2-3 weeks if I can mod them without having to install them. | |

| Weld the o2 bung in the collector? I would test fit them. You have to remove a part of the frame if I remember correctly. A small support where the tubes come down. | |

| If that's the case, cut out the piece of the frame and flip it so its concave and weld it back in. Like when guys swap LT1s into G bodies and such. Gotta make room for AC if you want it, but they just flip that piece around, rework it and weld it in. I know, sounds sooooo easy, right? | |

| It's not that kind of frame piece removal it's some support piece that gets in the way. At least on the carb'd/tbi caprices I've put headers on. I will try to take a pic if I can in the AM. | |

| Well kinda like this. Post #491476. Instead of cutting for the AC you're cutting for headers...

| From Matt's boxy build thread That piece on the passenger side directly to the left of the green jack stand, it's like a brace for the engine cradle. I've had to remove that in the past for clearance. | |

| Lol mine are all bent and scraped I think they are there so that the torque doesn't twist the engine cradle. Not sure if Justin has to worry about that lol j/k Justin! | |

| Ussually a notch via sawzall/wizzwheel will suffice. But some people just opt to ditch them. If you want them gone you better be sure. There is one bolt that you are not going to get to with the LCAs in place lol. | |
