PostSubject: Found another ride!!   Wed Apr 09, 2014 1:38 pm

Some excerpts from the email I got from Lime Rock....Of course, I'd still love to do the Special Olympics cruise too......Well, I AM doing that one too.... Very Happy  Anyone else in? Lets set this up!
One in May, another in August....

Spike's Ride II is Sat., May 3 at Lime Rock in CT.

Last year, George “Spikes” LeGrice and friends made it happen at Lime Rock Park: The car show to benefit Sandy Hook families and first responders was a big success. At the “Spike’s Ride for Sandy Hook,” organizers confirmed more than 2,400 vehicles – cars, motorcycles and trucks – made their way to Lakeville, collecting $26,000 in cash donations.

LeGrice, 28, an EMT and National Guardsman from Brockton, Mass., is again organizing the 2014 “Ride,” with Lime Rock donating the facility and personnel.

Skip Barber said, “Last year’s event was one of the most ‘democratic’ shows I’ve ever seen. We had Bentleys from the 1930s shoulder to shoulder with Honda Accords, which, by the way, were right next to jacked-up diesel pick-ups, Z28s and Austin-Healeys. Thousands of vehicles... It’s wonderful when everyone feels as one, to do what they can for Newtown.”
