No freaking way. Somebody gave away a plow truck right before winter. They could've sold that to some unprepared sucker for $1000 at least

Nice! 83? 84? I was gonna ask your plans but parts I see...maybe you can get some plow use out of it I suppose first. At least it looks complete.

And um, yeah, so I'm gonna have to go ahead and uh, ask...for some pictures of that '87 with 49K on it. This isn't a half day or anything like that. Mmmkay? Thanks.

The 87 came up from NC. It's had a repaint, and it has a couple spots of rust, right now it won't run, fuel pump I think. My mechanic is coming sat to take a look at it.
Nice rig, I'm getting it finished for my dad, he's had a pile is them over the years.

A co-worker has said that the Farmer's Almanac is predicting a long, cold, white winter.

So Glen, you should use this photo to start a new thread...

"Pictures of ALL weapons from your winter preparedness arsenal"

Include the other two plow-trucks, even if they aren't running.

Lets see everybody's snow blowers, snow throwers, plow-trucks & SUVs, employer's snow removal equipment, even cool manual shovels!

Nice score, especially with a plow. What's in this one?

But it's "lightened by nature" to make up for it. Wink

There's nothing wrong with a 305 for plowing.

Transfer case in low range
T-Case (NP208 ?) 2.61:1
T-Case (NP203 ?) 2.01:1
T-Case (NP205 ?) 1.96:1 . . . BEST light truck T-case GM eva installed!
Muncie Manual M465. - "Granny" first gear is 6.55:1, , , yikes!!!
Trans first gear (CBC-350 ?) 2.52:1
Trans first gear (TH400 ?) 2.48:1
Trans first gear (TH700R4 ?) 3.06:1
Rear (and front) axle ratios 3.73 or 4.10 ?

What ever your driveline combo is, that is a LOT of torque multiplication, , ,
And don't forget, the torque converter adds even more multiplication.

My first plow was a 56 International Harvester with a BD240 straight six
...with under 8:1 compression and only a (2:1?) NP201 transfer case.
Of course first gear (T98 4-spd manual trans) was 6.32:1, and the axles were like 5.13:1
