I think Crovo and I need our own section for stuff we bought, this never ends I mentioned to a couple of you (or less?) yesterday that I was going to look at a 92 OCC today. Well I did and I bought. I didn't snag any pics of it, but the seller listed this nice video of the car on youtube that shows it off pretty good. It's true California car and it shows it. The underbody is absolutely spotless, you would have a hard time finding rust. The body is in nice shape, except both DS doors are ruined. Some jap tin can drove into him, screwed his doors up but they got it much worse . The car was garaged it's whole life, and the seller is the original owner. Anyways, its dark maple red over tan (real light "camel" color), loaded with the tow pack and does not have a rear defroster which looks really cool. Am I friggin nuts? Yes. Don't be surprised if the black wagon shows up for sale soon Pics from his ad:
And a video:

The lack of a rear defog and the tan interior are common Southwestern US options I'd say. You'd think 9 times out of ten, that car would have a dark red interior like the outside! Law enforcement agencies out in CA used to order cruisers with tan instead of dark brown interiors a lot of the time.
That is a real nice looking car Dave, I'm looking forward to seeing more of it!
You've now owned both ends of the rust spectrum now as well, the Rustmaster and this car.

Dave, if you raise MY eyebrow, you may have a light problem. I prefer to call it an affliction.
Nice car. Jealous!

Looks mint!
Musta been a common outside color, most of the OCC's I've seen (including my old one) were just like that.
Here is a pic of my old one:

Thanks, the color looks great when it's in good shape like this car, my last OCC was the same color with no clear but I didn't like it LOL. Number of cars huh? I'll just list them off:
1975 Impala coupe (been stored for 13 years) 1987 Lesabre sedan 1989 Lesabre T-type coupe 1988 Reatta 1992 Custom Cruiser 1994 9C1 1995 Roadmaster wagon 1995 Caprice 1A2 1996 Caddy Fleetwood 1996 Roadmaster wagon (winter car) 1996 Ram 2500 SLT 1997 Riviera 2000 Sebring Convertible 2002 Sebring sedan (in my name, but my brother drives it) If you want to get technical, I have another 96 Fleetwood with no title thst is still at the seller's house

If the next meet is in the winter then no, I'm gonna get indoor storage for this, I fell bad leaving it out in rain, let alone snow

Odd combo, never knew that was a thing! I'm glad to be on the other side of the rust belt now

It was very common, my 91 was the same color. No that I need body parts this color, I find EVERY other color in the yards!

The damage doesn't even really look too bad in that video, not what I was expecting. I'd say leave it and give yourself some time to search for doors!

Interesting thing about the video...
"350 cubic inch V8, 350 horsepower, four barrel, gets 18-20 MPG" <---This would be an even cooler wagon!
sweet find!

The pics and video hide it pretty good, it was hit hard enough that the bottom part of the B-pillar got pushed in a little. Luckily it's below the hinge so it's just cosmetic. The door edge where the stickers are is mangled pretty good, he had it pulled out so it opens and closes right. Seals good except for that area.

Maybe these pics will make you drool a little more Justin
Looks like I got the trifecta thing going on again
Saturday I drove home from Queens a 92 OCC which for much of it's life was a California car, and it shows in a good way. To start off, yes the car needs work (would I buy one that didn't?). The upper control arm bushings are shot, ball joints are barely there (and to think I drove this thing 75 miles home!), it has electrical gremlins, and it needs a couple doors. Car did ride decently enough though even with the barely existent steering. I'll let the pics speak for themselves, the under body is absolutely amazing. The original owner I bought it from did a great job keeping this car clean. That thing in the back BTW, is a NIB hood liner. I doubt I'll ever bring myself to install it.

I can't believe there is a clean OCC in this region, well I couldn't until now! Awesome find!
That hood liner is a sweet parts hoard collectible too!
Oh, and ah, da fuq is up with the honda in the garage!? If that spot can accommodate a B then it should be parked in there!

It's the only sub $1k car I ever looked at that was washed, waxed and had tire wet on the tires when I looked at it . I really like this interior, really makes you want that 92 RMS with the matching exterior that everyone seems to hate.

I think I'll have to make a dibs list before this gets out of hand The Honda is my mother's car. After the 87 Lesabre we had/I have she refused to buy anything American and bought that thing. I still make fun of it because a 10 year older Impala SS with the same milage (48k) is worth more than it It's slow, small and boring as they get. This garage is useless for B-body parking, they just barely fit width wise with the 95/96 mirrors folded in.

I love the interior! Sucks big time about the doors. At least the cladding hides the ugly.
Now, do yourself a favor. Go shoot a new sig pic or photoshop the occ in somewhere.
