PostSubject: Found pics of my old 75 Impala coupe   Wed Sep 18, 2013 10:15 am

I did some digging and it turns out I do have some pictures from 2005 of the old abandoned '75 Impala.  When these were taken this was the last time the car ran, and for the most part was the last time I really got a good look at the car.  It's been parked since 2000 and it was running on 5 year old gas when it started.  I'm really hoping to pull it out of my Aunt and Uncle's garage next spring and fix it up.
These pictures are kinda crappy, but here's what I have.  For the mileage, add 200+k to the odometer.  Not sure the exact number, my Dad disconnected the cable when it was new to "extend his warranty" which he actually did take advantage of Very Happy

Yes, I do fit in a trunk!

Holy smoke storm!

So that's the B-body that got me started in this crazy mess. It does need a good deal of work, rear quarters are rotted, stuff falls out of the trunk because of that. The rear frame needs some help by the rear wheel (I think, it's been a long time), the trans leaked all it's fluid years ago and I'm sure that 13 year old gas is in great shape Razz . It did drive there under it's own power, although had a hell of a vibration which my Dad thought was the drive shaft.
I'll take pics of it all later, but I found the original brochure for it, also have the window sticker and probably the invoice from purchase.

^Me too! Laughing

Dave that doesn't look to be in too bad of shape. Believe it or not, after being around my car for so long it does seem that some areas on that car are in better shape than mine.  Yours looks more clean in the door jamb areas and such, mine has paint that flaked off, etc.

That herringbone cloth on the seats was an optional fabric, I forget what they called it.  See all the differences in that interior compared to mine?

It really does change the look a lot. I have some parts I bought years ago for it like a dash that wasn't as cracked, and found a NOS front rubber floor mat. That's a one piece mat that covers the hump too.

I was going to buy the one piece mat also. I see them around online, I think many of them were just hanging out in dealers still in the boxes. I currently have original GM mats that the guy got in the color of the car when it was new.

I have a spare set of taillights from a 75 Impala and a header panel w/trim also, lol. They aren't correct for my car.geek

Looks like your car has Caprice wheel covers added to it...mine has the same radio in it right now, it was in the trunk when I got the car.
