I know the 4l60e swaps between years with some mods, but to remove the e all together what are the options? The 4l60 and 700r4 should be the same case which would mean that they should swap, but I'm not sure on that. Does anyone know if the pre-computer controlled 700's will drop into a Caprice with a gen2 engine? I'd love to drop in a built 700 and have it bolt right up but I'm worried the bellhousing will be different or the input shaft won't line up or something.
And a th350/400 conversion is out since I drive on the highway alot and want to keep overdrive.
