| My 96 FWB is throwing P0122 for the TPS sensor, but the sensor is not the issue. Here's my discussion so far at the Caddy forums, anyone have any ideas? I'm out of them. For the first time I'm considering taking a car to the dealer for repair http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/rwd-19xx-1984-deville-fleetwood-1985/298409-p0122-96-fleetwood.html | |

| Definitely the traction control module. My 96 does the same thing if I take a turn too fast or slam the car down the traction light abs and CEL come on and I have to reach in to the glove box and shut the traction off to be able to drive. I have a set of FSM for sale if you wanna come get them. I WAS on the search for a RM or caprice throttle linkage to eliminate all that crap anyway since on a fleetwood the throttle cable goes into the TCM along with the cruise and comes out and attaches to the throttle body. In essence then a computer is in part control of the gas. That is an UNWISE decision if you ask me. Ive almost wrecked the caddy on a few occasions BECAUSE of the damn traction control. since I'm selling it now I'm not even gonna bother with it. But it could be a option for you, | |

| I thought it was the traction module too, but I get the same thing with it disconnected (didn't try just disabling it though). Thanks for the offer on the books, but just bought a set online last night. I do hate this traction system, it's a friggin joke!
Tim, I swapped it with 3 sensors so far and saw no change. | |

| Also what might help with your quest to delete this system, I did some part cross-referencing on the ABS/TCM module today and found something interesting. Rock auto lists the traction/ABS module in the 95/96 FWB being the same as the unit used in the 96 B-bodies. I looked at the wiring diagrams and the pinouts are similar between the 2. The B-bodies have a couple of the wires used on the fleetwood grounded out which I would assume tells the ABS module that it's just using ABS and to not active the TC part. I can make a PDF of thee pinouts if you want them. I'm thinking with a little wiring modification and a B throttle cable this system could be deleted. | |

| Made some progress, I think. I made a new circuit for the TPS and completely bypassed the one in the harness. That problem is gone now but others have shown up. Now both fans are on constantly any time the engine is running, but there is no CEL or codes set. It runs and drives fine otherwise Also, the AC compressor won't engage. There's plenty of refridgerant in it, pressure switch is closed too. I noticed this yesterday, the primary fan was coming on but no voltage to the compressor. Now both fans are on constantly, so that doesn't really matter. I can't wait to get my FSM in the mail! | |

| I finally got this fixed, its amazing what you can do when you have a service manual There were a couple shorts where the wires for the AC pressure switch was pinched against one of the refridgerant lines. A little tape and now she drives like a Caddy again, woohoo! | |
