Spent my morning attempting to open the trunk of the 55 caddy.
I ended up sticking my hand up through a small hole in the trunk floor like that lady in Temple of Doom looking for the level to save Dr. Jones and with a socket wrench undid the bolts holding the whole lock latch to the car.
I'm not gonna lie it was a little creepy doing this. Who KNOWS what the F was in there!!! I reached blindly into the dark (shutters) pale

Any who there was a ton of stuff in there all of it ruined! Looked like there was an engine rebuild gasket set in there that turned to dust when I touched it. A few tools, vintage aftermarket oil pressure gauge, a GIANT bolder of a rock (I assume for winter traction) and alot of mouse/rodent food (acorn shells whatnot). But what was REALLY awesome was the MINT condition bias ply spare tire.
All 4 original tires that were on the car were toast. But this thing is great!
Stuck it on the FWB for a quick shot. I wish Coker wasn't so goddamn expensive!

I'm gonna take the plunge and buy a set once the 55 is running and driving (hoping by the end of June)

Now that is a cool find.

To get brandon's lights I had to either crawl through the trunk from the backseat of a caprice which contained blankets that smelled like piss...or punch the lock out... I punched the lock out Laughing
