| I know there was a guy who made these on ISSF, but I cant seem to find it. I assume I am just searching for the wrong words, but I am looking for the disc that is made to fit the hub part of the spare wheel and allows you to use the stock mounting in the trunk.
Help?!
Thanks,
Doug | |

| Both of my sedans have the rim flipped upside down with the jack handle across is holding it down. Wagons use a disc to mount the spare though. | |

| If it's the thing I'm thinking of, someone made it only for the SS wheels to be used as a spare. I saw the thread on ISSF recently too, so I know it's there. The thing is called a "WADA". | |

Oh yea. I saw that thread. I was talking about the stamped steel piece. In that 2nd thread there I linked, some guy had a random round piece of metal he found in a hardware store that worked as well. Maybe some random thing from Home Damage or bLowes would work too, then just put a center cap on the wheel, lol.

Pretty much. The ones I am thinking of are billet, but same idea. Does the thickness of that one allow you to use the stock hook and plastic hand twist nut? While keeping the wheel face up? Yes, billet & thick enough Its REALLY light & makes me feel like I'm holding something less then metal

Kinda sounds like something a certain someone could manufacture...haha.

WADA is the wording I was looking for, but could not think of it to save my life, which made it very hard to find the link. Thanks for those links too, those were the ones I was looking for. I am going to see if I can find something at HD to make it work before I buy anything. My spare is far from beautiful, but I just want to be able to mount it with a cap on it in-case I lose a cap too.

| The guy in the ISSF thread who went to the hardware store and just looked around got me thinking...i have a Home Depot right across the street from work.... Measures exactly 3.180 and drops PERFECT into the hub opening on the wheel...I'm not sure if this will be strong enough, but it feels pretty rugged for what it is (It's not as tin-like as it looks), I'm betting a good sized fender washer on the backside would make it plenty strong to hold that spare, and hogging out the center hole should be a breeze...Worst-case I'm out $8.49. I will get cracking on it tonight and will post up results and pics Wednesday (I'm out of the office tomorrow) Doug | |

| Here is what it looks like installed. Only modification was hogging the hole out a size, which was easy. I'm pretty happy with it, if anyone else is looking for a cheap easy solution, it worked well. Now I just need to mount my spare on a wheel that didn't have a locking lug nut frozen to it at one point in it's life... | |
