Drove to Danbury, CT to pick this bad boy up.
Needs attention but it made the 100+ mile ride back home.

SPID tag is almost completely gone, as if someone tried cleaning it with brake clean or something.
I'm hoping compnine will have some info.

Guy who sold it to me was definitely smoking something when he wrote the ad on CL. nothing he stated was accurate but the year and make.
-218k miles
-Tow pack
-WB4
-DGGM (only thing better would be black)
-tan leather

Has some typical wagon crust, quarters look patched but not well, lower B pillars need fixing, some kick plate rust starting at drivers door sill, misc dings, outside mirrors both look like Steve Martin and John Candy took it for a spin once, grilles broken, Etc.
So good to have a 5.7 gen-2 back.... 80's 305 not so powerful. The 88 is living with my brother now.

Tints, wheels, and repairs as needed and I'm leaving it as is.

Me likes!!!

Non woodie FTW!

For the price and what needs to be done, you rescued a tow pkg wagon from certain death. Tan leather seats in that color sounds like a good contrast!

Any ideas on wheels? PLEASE don't say red steelies with WW. It's was old when Ted Sucks did it.

Like I said, you can have that border I've got for a different grill. Maybe paint it to match with a nice old school Buick emblem on it to pop.

It needs true spokes (15") or a black wheel I think. Either those rallies I have painted black with Buick emblems in the caps or some n97's
I love a green/tan combo.
Grille will be like Monstro-I had, border with open middle painted body color, mesh insert and an old buick emblem.
I'd love to work a 1958 Buick hood ornament on her. But the hood might be too steep.

$800

Was mis-spelled on CL.

Alot of the time when I search craigslist I get in the mindset of some of the "people" who also enjoy these big bodies
And I start purposely misspelling words in searches:

Caprise
Capric
Impalla
Road master
Etc

and sometimes alot of different stuff pops up that DOESN'T show up on regular spelled searches.

Look who your talking to... A couple of swaps certainly don't count as "touching" anything. Lol
As far as I'm concerned anything that bolts on/in or is a direct fit is NOT a mod. It's like saying "hey, I modded my car today.... I changed the oil" BOOO! Razz

So, newer Camaro guys DON'T mod them???

I thought cold air intake, seat covers, and steering wheel wrap was the tops...

I've gotta redo my math here scratch

Upgrade yes, modify NO.

Brandons box caprice= modified
Anthony's 91 caprice= modified
The 94 wagon I had= modified

Anything that takes one-off creations or cutting and adding is a modification
In my opinion of course.

Haha true. Not for long tho. This is temporary and better than the Caprice or OCC grills I have.

You missing that rear trim?

I have a trip your direction coming up soon....

After reading your junkyard find thread, I can donate a part of the RMW we parted out in your dads driveway so it can live on in this one.. Laughing

Holy shit! It's the Rust-master's sibling!

That looks like more than a decent car for the price. And it's the best color.

I think that would look sweet on SS wheels for a driver, but I know you have something more of a departure from the norm for that planned

Indy, there is such a thing as just keeping up with regular maintenance and no mods. I think that this is the car to start doing that to! Arrow

This car is getting nothing but maintenance.
No welding, no custom fit things, no height change.

Its a daily driver for the family.
I don't care for the rims so I'd like to swap those out. Tints to protect the kids
I'm not even gonna put pipes on it.

Only wrenches being turned will be fixing broken things.

The fins on the last one were ONLY because it was a winter beater in REAL bad shape.

Damn, I'm really slipping on my searches then. And NEVER thought of looking for "Caprise" I missed a 92 OCC that was on ebay last week too Sad Although I know the buyer and COULD have it if I can get rid of some of this FWD trash.

Got a flat last night, both rear tires dry rotted to hell and it's a shame because they had almost new tread on them. No doubt from sitting for so long. What better time to upgrade???? Twisted Evil

That looks MUCH better! Once you get the tints on there, it'll look killer. (for a DGGM, anyways Razz)
