Using hazard lights Empty
PostSubject: Using hazard lights   Using hazard lights EmptyTue May 07, 2013 11:32 pm

I don't regularly use my hazard lights. But tonight while screwing around with the 9C1, I flipped the hazard lights on with the headlights off.

Is the digital portion of the dash supposed to flash opposite the arrows flashing?

Someone run out and check for me Smile

If yes, my bad. I never would have noticed before now.

Thanks.

No big deal.

It might be a result of me installing 1157 sockets up front in place of the 194 sockets.

More resistance than originally intended...

Do you have anything additional added to the dimmer circuit?
When I added 5 gauges, I hit what I'd consider the limit of that circuit....dims to a point then goes away.
I'm not 100% sure its not a marginal dimmer....cuz I cant do electrical math..but I DO know the loading on that circuit matters

Also....dont think the dimmer circuit has anything to do with the flashes (they obviously dont dim)

I've nothing electrical added to the car. Nothing more than stock. Its not a bothersome thing, so I'll track it down in time.

I'll be sure to post my findings. But, I'd like to start with swapping the 194s back in.

FSM, here I come...

Just remove the bulbs & see if it changes the flash

Must also be a flasher can that controls that....thats easy enough to swap out too.

Your right...get the FSM..

I swapped out 3 flashers last night to no avail. I thought at first, it was caused by the LED oriented flasher I had for the sequentials.

I bought/installed a new tail lamp harness last year cause of that.

But you're right, I'll remove the bulbs.

I'll be back in a few...
