Jay had been hanging onto some parts for me for a while, so we decided to meet up in North Conway NH today and have a little parts-swap. I got the better end of the deal, I think. I had about a 275 mile round trip, and he was looking at 400 miles each way! Shocked

I went the long way, so I could drive along the historic Kangamangus Highway, snaking through the White Mountains. I figured I had plenty of time and would enjoy the ride. It was EPIC! I had the twisty turny mountain road pretty much all to myself and could stretch the marshmallows legs a bit. And I did. And man, the sounds echoing across the valleys... Beautiful music! And I didn't even turn the radio on. Wink An absolutely gorgeous day and I am still grinning like an idiot!

Here are some pics I snapped along the way...

And of course... He had to bring the damn BLUE car! Razz

Thanks Jay, I appreciate it. I needed that stuff!

All in all, not a bad day... Wink

Jeez, what in the hell did you guys swap to warrant such a ride! That is still awesome either way, I haven't been up that way in years...I've committed to taking a bunch of these trips this spring and summer on the weekends. I'm at that age where a lot of my friends are being MIA as far as hanging out, so the days I have nothing to do, I might do this.

I'm surprised there was still snow on the ground up there, that's pretty crazy. Looks like I wasn't the only one rocking the SS grille WITH hood ornament either! Razz I'm wondering if the "BMFR" in his plate is an acronym relating to the wallet from Pulp Fiction... Laughing

I have that wallet. Wink

Yeah, some of the snowbanks along the kangamangus were like 8 feet high! And it was 70* out! Razz

I noticed that I didn't take any actual driving pics on the kangamangus. I guess I was just having too much fun driving! Smile All the windshield shots are on 93 North and then one heading into Conway on 302 (I think).

I'm due for a new wallet since my current one is from like 1995...so I think that Pulp Fiction one will make a suitable replacement...

I would have been trying to avoid runoff from the melting snowbanks in my car. "Ohhhhh noooooes...my rocker panels need splasssssshhhhgahhhhhrdssssthhhh"...and so on... Laughing

Amazingly, no runoff. The land drops off from the roadway pretty good on that road, either into a gulley or off a cliff. Wink

I actually don't think I saw a single puddle the whole trip!

Sweet pics! That wagon really looks mint! Don't do anything to it now! I love it!

Big parts swap though. Maybe something too heavy to ship? Hmmmm Laughing I wonder.

Yeah, I forgot how beautiful it was up there, too. I hadn't been in years. And it's only like an hour and a half away!!!!

And yes Matt. Stuff too big to ship. Smile

Does it start with T and end with 6? Because no matter what car that'd be cool. Laughing Twisted Evil

If you want the car to be more fun then just put a spoiler on it...or VTEC. Everything is better when VTEC kicks in Laughing

Do not provoke this guy, he sent me this a few weeks ago and I still can't stop laughing at it. I of course sent it to 20 other people...
