That is pretty freakin' cool right there. I'm picturing someone who worked for GM showing up in that to work to be funny back in the 60s. I wouldn't even touch the body!

I think this wheel/tire combo would look good:

That's one of the cars on my bucket list right there, Matt. A '69 or'70 Coupe DeVille. afro Although that looks like it might be a '67 or '68. I wouldn't throw one of those out of bed either. Shocked

second that..... lol!

those 54 caddy wheels with wide whites are one of the most expensive rim & tire package out there, you can put them on anything and your pimping, but god dam they are pricey.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat now too. Anything in that general time period I want, lowered with big whitewalls!

I like the limo rear window better than the wrap around glass I have in mine, It sucks they destroyed the dash with the plastic garbage from a caprice, the factory mechanical gauges could have been hooked up to the lt1 and with an adapter module the speedo cable could have been turned into VSS pulse. In 56 it was already a 12v system (55 first year caddy 12v)
it's funny they put an lt1 in there because the factory 365 engine that came in it would have blown the doors off a lt1 any day of the week,
Especially the factory dual quad setup.

Good to know the track width from a caprice works out.. I was planning on frame swapping to a suburban frame (same wheelbase)
But I'd much rather have the trailing arms rear setup and the ease of finding parts from a caprice/roadmaster.

Now who's got a caprice/roadmaster/fleetwood they wanna part out?????

I have to wonder how well this was done. Why would you go through the trouble of a body swap and 1) not take care of rusty inner fenders and 2) leave a 200k mile drivetrain in it?

I wondered much of the same. It's a cool idea, but a lot of it screams that it was done half-ass, or at the least needs some serious finish work. I understand money can be an issue though, and once it's going down the road it's hard to spend too much money on it because you just want to drive it...

I've never been in love with that body Caddy, my love starts toward the late 60's and up, but I can appreciate what he was trying to attempt.
